Chapter 116: Destroy before it blooms

Bai Meiyue was quite impressed by Bai Feng’s actions. He not only noticed her collecting the nuclei, he also detected that there was something unusual about these crystal nuclei.

No wonder he was able to climb to the top so quickly; if not for the fact that he was a fool and supported Bai Xue blindly, he wouldn’t have died so easily.

When Bai Meiyue thought about it, she felt her heart ache. So much good potential. All of it was wasted because of one selfish white lotus.

However, Bai Meiyue was not willing to answer his question and shrugged. "I do not have any idea."

"Then why are you collecting these crystals?" Bai Feng asked. His face was hard and cold under the moonlight that was shining in the darkness. His gaze was fixed on Bai Meiyue and he didn’t even flinch when a gust of wind brushed past them, bringing a strong wave that crashed against his knees.

Though he didn’t say it, he indirectly called Bai Meiyue out on her bullshit.

Bai Meiyue didn’t even blush. She knew that Bai Feng was aware of her lies but so what?

She turned to look at him and stated in a cold voice, "Brother Feng, you are forgetting that I am no different than you. Just like you, this is my first time dealing with such a thing. How can I know what these things can be used for? I am collecting these because I want to go back and study them. Doesn’t it strike as weird? Their entire body is rotten but there is a crystal growing in their heads."

"No matter how you look at it, there has to be something weird about it."

This time around, she might as well destroy their bodies.

With that thought in her head, she quickly tapped on the barter exchange system and looked for the Poison Mary account. Fortunately, the woman was online and looking for an exchange.

The woman behind this account was a rich socialite. She liked purchasing all kinds of perfumes, clothes, and jewellery; as long as it was sparkly and smelt good, this woman would purchase anything.

Bai Meiyue quickly barted off an expensive perfume in exchange for a bag of poisonous powder. This powder could not only ruin one’s body; it also affected the qi. Since the spiritual core of a supernatural being was rather close to the qi of a person, as long as this poison was ingested, Bai Meiyue was certain that the chances of the Bai family awakening would be reduced to zero.

Thus, while Bai Feng was dealing with the zombies, Bai Meiyue snuck close to his bag, which held the supplies and tore the packets that were supposed to be torn and opened the lid of the bottles that were supposed to be opened. She poured the poisonous powder inside the supplies and then wiped her hands clean.

She then straightened up and watched Bai Feng kill the zombies. At first he was really slow and was trying to get the hang of killing these monsters but soon he caught the hang of it and started killing the zombies with an accurate and fast rhythm.

Bai Meiyue sighed. Sure enough, there was a difference between the two of them. Bai Feng was naturally talented.

"Yueyue," Bai Feng finished dealing with the zombies on the street and then walked over to where she was standing. He looked at her and said, "Do you want to share the supplies?" He asked this because he noticed her sneaking over to his bag of supplies.
