“I sure hope you're not forgetting about me Madara!” Hinata shouted as she unleashed her chakra. For the longest time she had felt annoyed at the fact her own dojutsu didn’t provide her something like the susanoo. Sure, piloting a Jeager had been fun but it still felt lacking somehow. That is why she had been working hard on a solution.
“Hiaguron!” Instantly the earth shook as Hinata used her dojutsu to bend the laws of reality to her whims. The earth cracked and heaved as dirt, rock and stone began coalescing into a new form. Not only that but its very nature began to change as rock turned to steel, stone to gold and dirt to fine furs and cloth.
In less than a minute a giant made of metal adorned with furs and cloth stood on the battlefield, a two handed sword held in its massive hands. Hinata coccooned safely inside its head using her byakugan to look outside.
“Damn that looks cool, kinda like type-moon lancer Artoria, but with excalibur instead of Rhongomyniad.” Tomoka commented from her spot. Using her eyes she could see the ridiculous amount of chakra flowing through the construct. Hinata had used her dojutsu to transmute matter into her chosen materials for her construct.
“Oho, I didn’t expect something like this.” Madara didn’t bother hiding neither his surprise nor his excitement. Afterall, the only other person to ever compete with him had been Hashirama. Now there were two of them, one of his own kin and another not.
No more words were said as the three giants began to fight. Seeing Hinata’s Hiaguron moving its massive sword towards him, Madara opted to disengage from Nozomi. Now that he was fully alive he had gained some benefits while losing some. For starters, now he could fully use all of his power unlike before when he could only use three fourths. Unfortunately however, he lost the immortality and infinite chakra provided by the edo tensei. This wouldn’t be a problem if he had managed to absorb the ten tails but now he had to be carefull with his chakra.
“Almighty push!” Of course, Nozomi wouldn’t let Madara disengage from her so easily so he was forced to use this technique to open up the distance between them.
Undeterred by being sent head over heels, Nozomi's susanoo stood up before moving to re-engage. Meanwhile Hinata’s Hiaguron continued to swing it's blade both attacking Madara and blocking his attacks. A dance of titans ensued. Whenever Madara got put in a tough spot he used an almighty push or pull to disrupt the girl’s coordination.
Meanwhile Hinata and Nozomi had trouble dealing with madara’s four blades taking into account that they each only used one. Sure, they had the reach advantage thanks to their blades but taking into consideration the type of foe they were facing that sort of advantage didn’t amount to all that much.
Finally Hinata had enough and went for a reckless move. Moving forward, she blocked two of Madara’s blade’s with her sword, Nozomi managed to block a third but the fourth was unimpeded and so it easily skewered Hinata’s Hiaguron through the gut... not like it mattered since she was safely held in the construct’s head.
“Heh, got you!” Madara’s eyes widened as a gigantic fist made of steel swong towards his susanoo’s head, where he stood arms crossed. In an instant Madara was propelled out of his susanoo by the heavy blow.
Not one to waste the opportunity Nozomi jumped out of her own susanoo as she wove a few hand signs, hand signs which Madara recognised instantly.
“Water style: Jet cutter”
“Fire style: Great fire annihilation.”
A moment later the two jutsus collided with steam exploding everywhere in a massive wave obscuring over a kilometer square area. Not wanting to deal with the diminished vision, Nozomi released a wide area wind justu pushing all the steam away.
“You know Madara, I have to say, I pity you. A pawn of a pawn, here is where your story ends.” Unable to speak Madara could only watch in horror as the girl looked at him with a mixture of apathy and pity. Then he felt pain.
Zetsu for his part couldn’t understand what was going on. He had wanted to wait for the best opportunity to betray Madara. Then suddenly he found himself being pulled towards the man who now he realized was completely paralyzed somehow by the girl standing in front of him.
When Zetsu’s body collided with Madara’s he began to act, he didn’t care that the girl was still there watching. Something told him she wouldn’t interfere. It took but a moment for him to fully take control of Madara before starting Kaguya’s resurrection.
The last thing Kaguya remembered was being betrayed and creating Zetsu in one last ditched gamble. Now she woke up seeing a pair of both beautiful and terrifying pink eyes. Before she could react the owner of those eyes touched her forehead. Instantly she felt her world shift.
No longer was she standing over what looked like a battlefield but instead in a beautiful field of ankle high grass with wildflowers here and there. She also looked different, like she had looked before eating the chakra fruit.
In front of her stood the same person who had presumably taken her to this place. A teen girl with beautiful red and cyan tipped hair. Pink eyes with five pupils each looking at her as if there is no secret they could not see.
“Who are you? where are we?” Kaguya asked first with hostility followed by fear. Her power, she couldn’t feel it. She felt weak like she had been in the past. Like she had been when her husband betrayed her. Like she had been when she had to flee.
“I am Tomoka, and this place is the corridor I created to connect our mindscapes. I had been wanting to talk with you for a while and maybe even help you.” Help her? Kaguay felt insulted, she didn’t need help. No, she needed to absorb back all her power, then she would be safe. She wouldn’t make the same mistake as before. She would keep her power to herself.
“You have been hurt Kaguya, and the power has gone to your head. No, it's more than that, isn’t it?” Kaguya shook her head. She didn’t want to hear it. she was fine, she didn’t need help, she-
“Here let me help you.” The girl moved, and although Kaguya wanted to dodge she couldn’t. Once again she felt her touch on her forehead. This time however was different. A cool sensation passed through her head and mind. She felt a fog lift from her very soul.
“Better isn’t it?” Kaguya didn’t know what to say, what to do. She felt sick to the core. Reviewing her actions, her plans. She had been mad, she could easily recognize it now. The girl was right, the power had gone to her head, in a rather literal way. It had twisted who she had been and it sickened her.
“Thank you.” Even so, Kaguya felt now, more than ever, alone. She wanted to cry and as tears began to form she felt warmth. It was then she realized the girl was hugging her.
“It 's fine now. I promise you will be happy now.” Kaguya cried. She didn’t know why but she believed the girl and so she cried. She let go of all the sadness she felt and accepted the bit of hope she felt for the future.
When she opened her eyes again, Kaguya found herself looking at those pink eyes once more. The bright sun and beautiful field was nowhere to be found as instead she was floating over what was clearly a battlefield.
“Come on Kaguya, There are a bunch of things to show you, and people for you to meet.” Said the girl while offering her hand. Kaguya hesitated for a moment. Would it be fine? In the end she took it, she decided to give her trust to someone else for one last time.
