Chapter 962: Feel Free to Break My Brother's Bones

In the streets of the Land of Fire's Capital.@@@@

Tsunade hadn't walked far before she realized she was being followed by two kids. However, since they weren't debt collectors, she didn't care and let Naruto and Karin follow her.

About a few minutes later, Tsunade frowned, suddenly turned around, and saw two more people appear behind the kids. It was Kanpū and Hayate.

'Space-Time Ninjutsu?'

Tsunade looked surprised, 'Could this guy be...'

"Tsunade-sama, this is my younger brother." Kanpū said as he approached, leading the group.

"Hmm, follow me."

Tsunade calmly nodded, then led them through the streets and alleys. Half an hour later, they arrived at a secluded little inn.

"Shizune, Shizune." Tsunade called out loudly after entering.

"Tsunade-sama, I am here." Shizune's voice came from outside.

Since Tsunade had gone to the gambling hall in the morning, Shizune had set up a small clinic outside, working as a barefoot doctor to earn a bit of money for their food and drinks. Otherwise, they would really have starved to death on the streets.

"Eh, it's you."

Shizune recognized Kanpū at a glance, "You are..."

Kanpū is afraid of side issues keep arising, so he quickly interrupted Shizune, "I'm just a family member of the patient, nothing more."

Tsunade gave Kanpū a sidelong glance and asked: "Is the money ready?"

The wise Kanpū swiftly pulled out a sealing scroll, extracted a suitcase from it, and opened it to reveal four thousand neatly stacked ten-thousand-ryo bills.

Tsunade's eyes lit up when she saw this. She immediately took the suitcase and started counting the money, and at the same time, she said to Shizune, "Shizune, the patient will be handed over to you."

"I understand."

Shizune nodded, then glanced at Naruto, Karin, and Hayate before quickly settling on Hayate, then said with a smile, "I'll start with an examination."

"Thank you." Hayate's expression was a bit odd.

'Why does this so-called 'Tsunade' and Shizune look so much like con artists?'

'Could it be that my usually shrewd brother had been fooled this time?'

After the examination, Shizune went over to Tsunade, who was still counting the money, and whispered something. Kanpū guessed they were discussing Hayate's condition. ṜaΝò₿Ё§

After a while, Shizune came over and said, "Some of your brother's broken bones have already started to heal. If you want to heal them completely, we need to break those bones again and then realign them. It might cause some pain. Is that okay?"

"No problem."

Kanpū declared righteously, "Feel free to break my brother's bones. If I so much as frown, I'm not a man!"

'Easy for you to say when it's not your bones...' Hayate thought bitterly.

"Then, I'll start now." Shizune said as she walked toward Hayate.

Hayate was really scared this time. His heart was pounding, and he asked loudly: "You're starting now? Here? Right now? Aren't you going to prepare anything?"

After a few calls with no response, Shizune panicked and broke through the door immediately. She then saw that the windows in the room were open, and Tsunade was nowhere to be found.

"Oh no!"

Shizune's face greatly changed, then she hurriedly jumped out the window, following the traces left by Tsunade. Kanpū, curious, followed her.

The two pursued all the way, and finally came to a gambling hall. The two glanced at each other. They are about to walk in when they saw Tsunade walked out dejectedly.

"No way?" Shizune was distraught.

"As expected of Tsunade-sama..." Kanpū sucked in a breath of cold air.

'Forty million, gone in just a short while...?'

'So this is the legendary hand of misfortune?'

"Shizune, you're just in time. Do you still have any money? I feel my luck is about to change. This time, I can definitely win it back!" Tsunade's eyes were ablaze with fervor.

"You said the same thing last time..." Shizune was on the verge of tears. They had finally found a way to make money, only to lose everything in a flash.

"Tsunade-sama, my admiration for you is as boundless as the sky." Hanfeng arched his hands.

"You..." Tsunade wanted to respond when suddenly, a large group of fierce-looking men appeared at the end of the street.

"There she is!"

"Quickly her! This time, we can't let her get away!"

"How dare she cheat us out of our money! Damn it!!"

This mob, armed with clubs and sticks, charged towards Tsunade.

Tsunade's face changed, and she turned to run.

"Are those debt collectors?" Kanpū asked.

Shizune said with bitter expression: "We should leave too. It will be troublesome if they catch up to us."

The two of them ran back to the inn, where Tsunade was already packing her things, preparing to flee.

"Shizune, hurry up." Tsunade urged, looking at Shizune with exasperation.

Shizune felt utterly defeated.

She turned her head and looked towards Kanpū and said: "Kanpū-kun, I guess this is where we part ways."

Kanpū took her hand and said, "Take care!"

"Un." Shizune's eyes welled up with tears.

"Stop dawdling. If we delay any longer, they'll catch up." Tsunade said anxiously.

"And whose fault is that?!" Shizune nearly exploded with frustration.

Amid their bickering, they made their escape. Kanpū gently picked up Hayate, then asked Naruto and Karin to hold onto him, and quietly returned to the Gekko Mansion with Flying Thunder God Technique,
