Chapter 144: - The Judgment of Broken
That day, in a room filled with thirteen top-tier Players from the Ass Guild, an urgent meeting took place. The tension was high because they were dealing with a disaster that struck them after their recent battle with a powerful boss.
The accident was unprecedented, and some members were resolute in their demands to uncover the root cause of this disaster and set things right, despite such a thing had never occurred in their prior battles nor in those conducted by other guilds.
Elincia, draped in her regal blue attire that fluttered with every commanding gesture, took the lead.
"We need to hear from each individual to gather all available data and opinions. Only then can we determine our next course of action."
Goldrich, an elderly mage with short white hair, chimed in. "It's undeniably true; Broken is someone extraordinary," he began, but his words were abruptly cut short.
A resounding thud echoed through the chamber as Skywarden slammed his fist onto the table, his face contorted in rage.
"No! He is useless, a complete disaster who has caused us tremendous losses!" he bellowed.
"The Mythic-grade spirit, Queen Gaia, the Nature Goddess," Goldrich announced. "This development is monumental - one that has the potential to change the fate of Yunatea forever. And did you know that the spirit spoke to him as if it were just a casual conversation? Do you think someone like that could possibly be useless?"
Skywarden sprang from his seat, his face a mask of irritation and anger. "This is all because of that fool, Broken!" he shouted. "It is blatantly clear that he is the reason for this disaster. He is the one responsible for most of us being killed by that wretched spirit. He must be held accountable," he insisted.
He continued. "We've never encountered such a calamity before; a spirit of Mythic grade appearing out of nowhere! And let's not forget the heavy toll the battle took on us. We have lost precious experience points, and some even had their levels decreased!"
Melliandra shot Skywarden a piercing glare and retorted sharply, "I highly doubt an incompetent dolt like Broken could summon a Mythic-grade spirit up there! He may be lacking in many areas, but he's certainly not the cause of this catastrophe."
Skywarden, looking disgruntled and unwilling to engage further, slumped back into his chair. He seemed weary of arguing, especially with someone he perceived as a mere child in this debate.
Elincia shifted her attention towards Goldrich. "Goldrich, what is your assessment? I need to hear more from you since only you and Charmelyn survived till the end and witnessed what transpired after everyone else departed."
Goldrich surveyed the room, his gaze taking in the tense faces around him. When he spoke, his tone was grave.
"Can I use the green one for my crafting? It seems like this has a more specific element, maybe Wood?" he mused aloud.
"Mr. Fokil mentioned that you can combine Normal Orichalcum with Green Orichalcum to infuse Nature elements into the weapon you're going to craft," Ivana explained, relaying the message that Fokil had entrusted her with.
Broken lifted his head, absorbing the information. As he pondered, an idea began to take shape in his mind.
"Did he have any other important messages for me, Ivana?"
Ivana shook her head. "He said that he can't wait to see what you will create from your work."
Broken nodded slowly, absorbing the information and understanding the steps he needed to take. With a clear plan forming in his mind, he began preparing the materials for the project. Confidence surged within him as he listened to Ivana, realizing the potential to achieve something extraordinary with the unique variants of Orichalcum he had obtained.
Additionally, he had a Monster Soul Stone from a level 200 raid boss. This was no small feat; he knew he had to execute this with utmost precision, aiming for perfection in every detail, hoping that the end result would surpass even his highest expectations. The notion of crafting a Legendary-grade item filled him with exhilaration.
"I've got a Monster Soul Stone that aligns perfectly with the materials needed to create the Moonvine Knuckles," he said. "So I plan to use it to maximize the potential for crafting a
higher-grade weapon."
He glanced at Ivana. "Which, ideally, would be a Legendary grade."
Ivana understood the incredible skill required to forge such a remarkable weapon, as she, too, possessed a production class. She chuckled softly, both impressed and amused by his
ambition.
"I'll provide you with the best support possible," she said with a warm smile. "I'll make some food that can boost your Dexterity, hoping it will help you a little."
"Thanks, Ivana."
He set to work, starting by smelting the Orichalcum Ore. He had meticulously prepared all the tools necessary for the task. Hot steam billowed around him, his muscles tensing in concentration as he poured his focus and expertise into every motion.
