Chapter 500 : 499: Imperium; Lord of The Storms
"And they call me a monster."
Pamela chuckled when she heard Zal'Zerael's words. She moved closer to the draconic abomination and stared straight into its eyes with a light smile.
"Although Chainworld Genesis is powerful and bends the rules and laws of reality... I think..."
Pamela scratched the side of her head with slightly furrowed brows while mumbling softly. Shen then shrugged and continued speaking.
"Like I was saying... Although Chainworld Genesis is powerful, it has its limitations."
Pamela looked at one of the chains with a pondering light in her eyes for a few seconds before shifting back her gaze to Zal'Zerael.
"It consumes an immense, and I mean an immense amount of energy to sustain. Even with my vast energy reserves, it still puts a strain on my body and mind. Luckily for me, I'm strong."
Pamela winked at the chained colossal abomination, and Zal'Zerael growled in anger and frustration.
"Another limitation of Chainworld Genesis is that I also risk binding myself by these chains if I lose focus. You see... These chains are somewhat sentient, and if I were to let them loose, they would instantly seek to bind and crush anybody that's in its domain... Even I, the creator of this... "world."
Pamela gave a genuine smile as she explained the limitations of her ability to her enemy. Zal'Zelael had a somewhat baffled expression after listening to Pamela's words.
Although he was surprised that Pamela decided to tell it about the limitations of her self-created art, when he heard the limitations, he realized that they were not really limitations.
The amount of mana and energy Pamela was something that shocked Zal'Zerael to its core. Although it never said anything about Pamela's incomprehensible amount of energy or showed its shock, it was absolutely shocked by the amount of mana and energy Pamela had.
The reason why it was able to use so many extremely powerful skills was because it had the lightning infinity crystal in it, which granted it an almost infinite amount of energy.
It always thought that only those who possessed another infinity crystal would be able to compete with it in terms of mana quantity and quality, but it could not sense a shred of the aura or energy of an infinity crystal in her.
Zal'Zerael growled with its glowing eyes narrowing. Despite its fury, it knew it had to stay calm when facing the monster in human skin in front of it.
"I'd rather die than become another person's mount."
Pamela smiled when she heard this. "Well, I expected such a response from you, so I can't say I'm surprised."
Zal'Zerael was about to speak, but then it saw Pamela glancing at its solar plexus, and its eyes flashed coldly with killing intent.
"You see, I'm not entirely sure if I should actually keep you as my mount because I know that one of the main reasons for your strength is an object in your solar plexus, and I want that object no matter what... even if you have to die for me to get it."
Pamela's silver eyes gazed into the draconic abomination's glowing white orb of eyes, and both had cold expressions. However, Zal'Zerael had a different thought.
'She doesn't know what the object is but she can perceive through the runes and her extremely high affinity with mana.'
'Also, she has no idea of the fragment of the Old Ones in me... Well, even if she does, she would most likely not want it... It corrupts the soul and alters the body of anybody that comes close to it, talk less of somebody like me who consumed it.'
'Although it gave me immense power, it altered my very being... I used to have the majestic and glorious form of a dragon in the past... This shattered dimension... always takes and never gives.'
"You are... impressive, Outsider," Zal'Zerael rumbled as it had these thoughts, "But do not think this is over."
Pamela's smirk widened as she lowered her left hand toward the draconic abomination. "Oh, I don't. But it's fun watching you squirm."
Pamela mocked, and then she asked once again with a cold tone, "Will you submit or not?"
Zal'Zerael gazed into infinity-marked silver eyes, and then its voice rang throughout the Raging Sky.
"Imperium; Lord of The Storms."
