Chapter 804

Chapter 804

Anton was back in his office after dinner to continue working on creating the enchanted mithril tablets that Captain Joraniah asked him to make. He was a little disappointed that he did not see anyone in the dining room. Apparently, everyone was extremely busy with the family businesses that everyone would usually stay in the shops and cinema until it was very late. There were even times that his family would not go home and would stay to rest the night in those places.Raymond told him that all of them had prepared rooms in the shops and the cinema in case they did not want to return to the manor to rest. The butler assured him that everyone was working hard, not because they wanted to earn coins, but because everyone was enjoying doing the things they were doing.

Anton was just glad that the family’s adopted members were happy. Raymond told him that just like any average citizen of Ormunda, they did not think that something truly bad would happen from the attacks of the undead. To normal citizens, the undead attacks were happening somewhere very far away. Truth be told, Anton was a little glad that the mundane members of his family, and every mundane citizen for that matter, had that behavior since it allowed wizards who were shouldering the undead problem to have a form of normalcy in their homes.

Not only that, a mundane person would not be able to do anything to help with the fight. The only thing they could do was to make sure that the wizards and warriors who were fighting against the coalition were comfortable whenever they returned to their homes.

It took Anton several more hours before he converted all mithril materials from his inventory to the form of smartphones. He had not completed the other magic metals, much less the other magic materials. Nevertheless, Anton collected around four hundred smartphone-like mithril metals.

One advantage of the mithril metal was that if Anton made a mistake, he could still reuse the metal, although part of it would be wasted. Still, managing to save a large part of the metal was good enough compared to wasting all of it because of a mistake.

During the next three days, Anton focused on creating the Mithril Tablets of Survival Spells. That was the name of the tablet that would contain the Assassin Skill Cloak of Shadows, the Paladin Aura Salvation, the Sorceress spell Teleport, and the Barbarian’s War Cry that he had assigned to the tablets.

So far, he had only successfully inscribed three of the skills. Just a few more experimentations and he would be able to complete the project.

Anton’s main issue was that, because of his enchanting project, he had not been able to level up his Diablo II ladder character, much less make progress on his Diablo Immortal character. The ladder season would end in a few weeks, and he had only leveled up five of the eight Diablo II characters to their maximum levels.

Because of that, after his rest on the fourth day, Anton decided to create a schedule. He would start working at around eight in the morning and would continue working until lunchtime. He would take a break to eat at noon for an hour and resume his work until around six in the evening. After that, he would start leveling up his Diablo II ladder character until around eight in the evening, and would rest for an hour to eat dinner, and would resume the character leveling  up until around four in the morning. That would give him enough time to sleep for four hours. Because of his Pearl of the Ocean item, four hours would be enough to have a complete rest because the said magic item would allow him to have a full twelve hours' rest in just four hours.

Because of the scheduling that Anton created, by the ninth day of the allotted fourteen days that Captain Joraniah had given him to complete his assignment, he had finally completed the project.

Anton had successfully inscribed the skills Cloak of Shadows, the aura Salvation, the spell Teleport, and the skill War Cry to one mithril tablet.

The Mithril Tablet of Survival Skills was still as large as a normal modern-day smartphone on Earth. It was a little thicker than normal but still comfortable to hold. The four skills mana structure, and the mana structure of the “on and off” sliders were located at the front, and each skill was labeled clearly. The mana structure of the mana storage batteries for each of the skills was inscribed at the back.

The mithril tablets would still be destroyed after a total of a thousand uses of the spells imbued in them, meaning each skill could only be used at around two hundred and fifty. To make it easier for the user, Anton created a counter beside the skills so they would know how much skill use left on the tablets. Beside the counter, it also showed a virtual icon that represented the remaining mana in the storage batteries for each of the spells, so the users would know when to refill the mana by casting spells into the tablet.

Anton was successful in inscribing level ten of each of the four skills. Once he was done with the prototype, he was extremely proud of himself.

Because of his success in creating the prototype, Anton easily created the succeeding Mithril Tablets of Survival Spells in the next couple of days until he had collected around twelve of them. He planned to give one to his father and one to his sister.

Since he had a couple of days left, he tacked the request that Anna had made. Because of his experience in creating the Mithril Tablet of Survival Spell, he created the Mithril Tablet of Wizard’s Assistance in just a few hours. The tablet contained just two skills. A level 12 Meditation Aura and a level 12 Prayer Aura. He made four of them but kept three. He planned to send one of the new tablets to Anna, but not to his father, since his father already had those skills.

After that, he wrote a letter with detailed instructions on how to use the Mithril Tablet of Survival Spells and the Mithril Tablet of Wizard’s Assistance. He tasked Raymond to send the letter and the tablets to both Anders and Anna. He reiterated the importance of the items and that they should not fall into others’ hands.

Raymond assured Anton that the butler would undertake the mission personally. Raumond would be the one going to Anna’s magic academy, and after that, Raymond would travel to New Drennor through one of the portals that the Ormundan Wizards had established.

Raymond would also be guarded by several powerful adventurers who were part of Anders’s adventurer teams to make sure that he was safe. Before the butler left, Anton returned to Nermador. He still had a couple of days before his teammates returned from their escort mission, but he planned to wait for them back in his room in Nermador.

Following the schedule that he had created, Anton managed to level up his Diablo II Barbarian Ladder Character to around level sixty-seven. He planned to focus on just leveling up his characters during the last two days. He still wanted to complete all of the eight characters for the current ladder season.
