Chapter 662 - Abyssal Tempering

Chapter 662 - Abyssal Tempering

Lucien did not let the new special force rush toward Celestial breakthrough.Their progress had been too fast.

Power gained quickly could still be real, but reality did not automatically mean mastery. A blade forged in one night could cut, but the hand holding it still needed to learn its weight.

The new force had received too many resources in too short a time.

They had grown.

Now they needed to settle.

Their laws had to stop feeling like borrowed weapons and begin feeling like limbs. Their energy had to stop surging like a flood and begin flowing like blood. Their instincts had to catch up with their strength.

Only then could they attempt their Celestial breakthrough.

Lucien had no intention of wasting good foundations by letting impatience ruin them.

Especially because his plan for them was not ordinary.

He wanted them to form Nihility Bodies.

The Abyssal Pool was still the strongest path toward a Celestial Body that Lucien personally knew.

Its danger was terrifying, but its result was equally terrifying.

For a special force meant to face the kind of enemies now waking beneath the seas, that mattered.

The problem was simple.

His previous method was too exhausting and too personal.

Lucien had created Empty Vessels. He had assumed the Mirrorhorn Duants Race’s constitution.

He had personally adjusted every step, every reaction, every danger, and every hidden flaw so that the people he valued could survive the abyssal bath and use it to form a proper body.

That had worked.

It had also been the sort of method that made sense only if one ignored fairness, scalability, sanity, and the very reasonable desire not to collapse after every batch.

He could do it for special people.

He could not do it for an army.

Lucien stared at the training grounds and sighed softly.

He needed a new method. A standardized method.

A controlled Abyssal Tempering Framework.

One that could let qualified candidates enter the Abyssal Pool safely, adapt gradually, and form a stable Celestial Body without requiring Lucien to personally create Empty Vessels each time.

Before, that would have been almost impossible.

Now, Lucien had touched the Origin Core more deeply.

Impossible no longer looked like a wall.

It looked like an engineering problem with a terrible attitude.

Lucien could work with that.

The special force would need time to consolidate anyway.

That gave him time to build the method.

He called for Lukas.

The man quickly arrived and stood near the assembled force.

"I’ve come, Young Lord," Lukas said as his eyes brightened when he saw the young talents.

Lucien approved of that look.

"Forge them properly," Lucien said.

Lukas lowered his head.

"I will."

Lucien glanced toward the special force.

An army needed discipline, trust, and obedience without stupidity.

He left their training to Lukas.

Then he turned away.

There was another matter waiting.

•••

Lucien gathered the next group quietly.

Seran arrived first, because of course he did. Aurelia came with him.

Deadman came with lazy steps and eyes that noticed everything.

Clara came soon after. Her composure was steady until she understood why Lucien had called her.

Elunara arrived with quiet grace.

The five Beacons of Light was behind her.

Anya. Seren. Robin. Elias.Ronan.

Each had walked a different path under Lootwell’s light.

Ten people stood before Lucien.

And...

Ten Fruits of Creation waited for them.

Lucien had explained the plan to them through the communication device, especially Seren’s part in it.

Lilith had been silent for a few breaths before agreeing to let her come, since the West’s construction was nearly finished anyway.

Then she gave one very clear instruction.

Seren was to return stronger. And preferably better at construction.

Lucien had promised that.

Morphy remained with Lilith and the workers, continuing the hidden shelter work and Lifeline Routes.

Lootwell did not stop for miracles.

It only scheduled around them.

Seran looked at the gathered group, then at Lucien.

His grin finally broke free.

"Finally."

That single word carried far too much satisfaction.

Deadman gave him a look.

"You sound like a child receiving dessert after pretending patience was meditation."

Seran ignored him with heroic dignity.

Clara, meanwhile, almost lowered herself to her knees.

Lucien reached her before the motion completed and stopped her gently.

"No."

Clara froze.

Lucien’s voice softened.

"You earned this standing."

Her eyes reddened, but she obeyed.

"Thank you for your grace, My Lord."

Lucien sighed.

Soon, he brought out the Void Disc.

Space folded.

The group vanished from Lootwell.

•••

They appeared in the void.

Around them, darkness stretched endlessly, but it was not empty. Distant lights burned like sleeping memories.

Soon, Lucien sent his senses within him.

He saw the Tree of Creation.

The ripe Fruits of Creation hung beneath its branches.

Lucien plucked ten.

The void seemed to still when he brought it out to reality.

He gave one to each of them without ceremony.

Only the weight of what they were holding.

Seran stopped smiling for once.

Deadman’s lazy expression faded into something quieter.

Aurelia lowered her gaze to the fruit in her hands.

Clara held hers as if it were a sacred answer she had not dared request.

Elunara’s fingers trembled once, then steadied.

The Beacons of Light each reacted differently.

Anya looked solemn, as if she understood that even cooking could become a law if the universe was unreasonable enough.

Seren studied the fruit like a material too precious to strike and too alive to measure.

Robin stared at his fruit with the expression of someone wondering whether stealing from himself counted as theft.

Elias stood straighter.

Ronan’s grip tightened.

Lucien looked at them all.

"The fruit will not give everyone the same result," he said. "It will deepen what is already true in you. It may evolve your law, your path, your body, your authority, or something you have not named yet."

They listened.

"It will not be gentle just because it is a blessing. Do not resist it blindly. Do not chase what belongs to someone else. Let it find the part of you that is most real."

That was enough.

More explanation would only become noise.

Lucien raised one hand.

Each person was carried away to a safe distance, separated by barriers, stabilizing arrays, and layers of Living Creation protection.

The Fruits of Creation resonated with them.

One by one, they ate.

The response was immediate.

Seran’s shadow split into reflections that looked like choices he had escaped and roads he had liberated.

Deadman’s fruit dimmed for a moment, then glowed like a candle lit inside a tomb that refused to remain only a tomb.

Aurelia’s presence became vast and clear, like moonlight touching every road without needing to walk them.

Clara’s faith light trembled, then unfolded like a chapel door opening inside the heart of the world.

Elunara’s aura thinned into starlight, fragile and endless, as if fate itself had lowered its voice to avoid harming her.

Anya’s fruit released warmth that carried the scent of hearths, kitchens, battlefield meals, family tables, ration lines, and impossible comfort given at the edge of despair.

Seren’s light sank into invisible patterns, measuring flaw, heat, pressure, shape, patience, and the moment before something broken became useful.

Robin nearly vanished. Just enough for the void to become suspicious of where he had gone.

Elias shone like a banner seen through dawn.

Ronan’s aura split and rejoined around him, twin currents moving like blades that had learned to breathe together.

Then all ten fell into meditation.

The void became quiet.

Lucien watched for a while.

The Fruits of Creation began their work.

He did not need to interfere.

Each fruit responded to its recipient’s path. Each law, system, body, and foundation began turning inward, searching for the most suitable evolution.

This would take time.

Some might awaken quickly.

Some might need days.

Some might need longer.

Lucien was not worried.

He gave the area one last check.

Then he returned to Lootwell.

•••

Lucien returned to the Origin Core Shrine.

He did not delay.

He needed to study how to make Abyssal Pool tempering more efficient.

Once again, his senses sank into the deeper authority of the Origin Core.

What he needed now was time.

After this, Lootwell’s forces would bloom again.
