I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 1669 - 919: Return to the Abyss

Chapter 1669 - 919: Return to the Abyss

Cyrus City,After obtaining the various materials prepared by his true self, Lis did not delay.

His purpose for coming to this small world has been fulfilled, so he was quick to return to the Abyss.

He was ready to embark on a grand endeavor.

However, before leaving, Lis had some matters to attend to.

The most crucial one was regarding Hanna.

Previously, he planned to help Hanna fight back, but now there’s no need to do so.

Hanna’s little schemes couldn’t possibly be hidden from Lis.

Immediately, Lis found Hanna, who was holding hands with Turner, wandering through the marketplace.

"Uncle Edward."

Turner greeted Lis cheerfully.

He was still young, and things were easily forgotten.

What’s more, Turner regarded Edward as a knowledgeable strong man who had saved their lives, so he naturally grew closer to Edward after his initial fear faded.

Of course, it also had something to do with Turner not yet knowing the transcendent secret of the Grant family.

Meanwhile, Hanna stood aside and respectfully saluted Lis.

Although she hadn’t forgotten Lis’s true identity, she didn’t avoid him either.

Lis patted Turner’s little head, smiling and nodding, then looked at Hanna and said:

"I’m leaving; there are some things I need to tell you."

Lis waved his hand, and Theodore immediately came out from the shadows, bowing to Lis.

Despite the comfortable life in Cyrus City these days, Theodore hadn’t forgotten the assassination attempt on the first day at the Mercenary Guild.

Theodore didn’t want any accidents to harm Hanna and Turner.

Although the Morlock Temple had given up pursuing them due to Edward’s influence, who knew if there were still people secretly eyeing the secrets of the Grant family.

So whenever Hanna and Turner went out, Theodore would cautiously follow to protect them from the shadows.

Since the Grant family had already been destroyed and they didn’t plan to rebuild it, the wealth they brought out would guarantee them a prosperous life without any issues.

Lis took the trio into an alley and said with a smile:

"My purpose here has been fulfilled, and today I am returning to the Abyss."

"What?"

Hanna was a bit surprised.

Although Lis acted like an ordinary person, he was, after all, an Abyss Demon.

Weren’t Abyss Demons always eager to come to the Material World?

He hadn’t done much yet, and now he was leaving?

For a moment, Hanna fell silent, feeling somewhat pressured.

Previously, with Edward around, Hanna felt no worries.

But if Edward was leaving, it would be just her and Theodore facing everything.

Why would she have such feelings for an Abyss Demon?

Hanna fell silent, not knowing what to do.

Theodore, standing nearby, didn’t say anything either, realizing that whatever Edward did was beyond their control.

Then, Lis casually tossed something, and three rings appeared before Theodore, Hanna, and Turner.

These three rings were meticulously crafted and unique, each made from an unknown metal, fine and durable, shimmering with a soft silver light.

Embedded in the rings was a bright green gemstone, like the purest dew in a deep forest or a budding sprout in the spring, exuding vibrant life.

The green color was vivid yet gentle, and close observation revealed a faint glow emanating from within the gemstone.

It resembled ripples on a lake stirred by the breeze, or perhaps like a Wind Element joyously dancing within.

This Wind Element surrounded the gemstone, forming a subtle, almost elusive halo.

Theodore and Hanna gently held the rings, immediately struck by their incredibly lightweight quality.

They felt weightless, like three leaves floating in the wind, gently swaying at their fingertips.

This lightness made Hanna feel, upon touching it, as if freed from the constraints of physical weight, merging with the Wind Element of nature.

With curiosity and anticipation, Hanna gently activated the power within the ring.

In an instant, a mystical sensation surged in her heart.

A cyan Magic Shield, as agile as a bubble, appeared around her body.

This shield glowed softly, its surface smooth as a mirror, repelling all external harm.

Meanwhile, Hanna was delighted to discover that her body felt exceptionally light.

It seemed as if invisible hands were gently lifting her, freeing her from the bonds of gravity.

With a light leap, she could soar freely in the air.

Most importantly, this magical buff seemed to exert no burden on her body.

Even though Hanna was physically weak, she could easily use the ring.

Being a member of the Grant family, Hanna was quite knowledgeable about magic equipment and tools.

Yet, the magic ring before her was beyond her understanding.

This was clearly far superior to all the Grant family’s treasures, a truly precious artifact.

And Edward produced three of them at once; was he intending to give them to them?

However, these three rings didn’t look like equipment that would appear in the Abyss at all.

The Grant family had summoned Abyss Demons multiple times before and had some understanding of this.
