Chapter 611 - 611: First Scene, First Act, Begin!

Thinking this far, J finally understood why Notch said the punishment Xu Yuan suggested for D was actually a form of salvation.Making him experience the pain he once inflicted on others would indeed torment him, but at least he would still be able to feel that he was alive.

Otherwise, it probably would not take long before D realized he had already been forgotten by everyone.

At that point, the suffocating feeling that the entire world had nothing to do with him, along with the curse of immortality, would definitely drive him insane.

Thinking of this, J looked at Notch and said, "If he's willing to save even someone like that, Xu Yuan must be a very gentle person, right?"

Notch shook his head and said, "More than gentle. He's the white moonlight in countless people's hearts."

At this point, the expression on Notch's face suddenly changed. He frowned as if thinking about something.

A moment later, he said, "But... recently I've realized he seems to have a bit of a black-bellied side..."

"If you ask me, he wasn't trying to save D at all. He simply never took D seriously in the first place. The reason he did this... was probably because he was worried D would go insane, and then I wouldn't be able to deal with it, and in the end it'd become his problem again!"

At this point, Notch clapped his hands with certainty.

"That's definitely it!"

Hearing this, J burst out laughing. He looked at Notch, raised an eyebrow, and teased him.

"Just how unreliable are you in his eyes? He's already planning things out to this extent??"

Notch's words made J even more curious about Xu Yuan. Among everyone J knew, Notch was probably the most reliable person. Yet in front of Xu Yuan, the most reliable person in J's eyes had somehow become completely unreliable.

J really wanted to know what kind of godlike person Xu Yuan was.

Hearing J's words, Notch waved his hand helplessly with a complicated expression.

While Notch and J were joking around, D had already taken several more steps toward the players and living beings.

Seeing this, Notch waved his hand, instantly teleporting D into the already remodeled Nameless Land.

The Dragon of Execution had already gone to the Inner World, so the Nameless Land had become vacant. The Nameless Land was a space outside the main world.

Anything happening inside would not affect the main world, and it was highly concealed, making it perfect as an "execution ground."

The moment D was teleported over, Notch and J followed in as well.

At this moment, the Nameless Land had undergone a complete transformation. The entire area had actually become a somewhat modern-style living room.

J's gaze landed on D in the center of the living room. D was lying there quietly without moving.

Seeing the changes inside the Nameless Land, surprise appeared on J's face. He turned to Notch and asked in confusion, "Earlier you said you'd help me set an example with the first scene..."

Before he finished speaking, J slowly scanned his surroundings, taking in every corner of the living room.

The layout of the living room was completely different from scenes inside the game, and J could not help feeling confused.

He frowned slightly, looked at Notch again, and asked, "This living room obviously isn't a scene from the game, right?"

Earlier, Notch had said he wanted D to experience the same torment he once inflicted on living beings.

Since it was torment inflicted on living beings, then it definitely should have been something that happened in the game world.

But the surrounding scene was clearly a modern living room, obviously unrelated to the game. That was why J was confused.

"Yeah. This is the living room of a mutual friend of ours."

Notch continued, "That was the first malicious prank he ever committed out of pure ill intent." His voice was low and calm, as though telling a distant story.

"I think that day might've been the beginning of all his sins. So I made this reenactment the opening of the entire movie."

Notch's words echoed through the air with a faint sense of finality.

While Notch and J were talking, D's body suddenly moved. His eyelids slowly opened as he looked around in confusion.

When his eyes swept across the corners of the living room, a familiar feeling surged into his heart.

"This place... I think I've been here before?..." D muttered softly, uncertainty in his voice. He tried hard to remember, piecing together those blurry fragments of memory.

Seeing that D seemed to remember this place, Notch showed no expression. Like a stage manager, he coldly looked at D below and said, "First scene, first act, begin!"

As Notch spoke, he snapped his fingers toward D. The sound of thumb and middle finger rubbing together rang out, and D suddenly felt overwhelming sleepiness hit him.

He forced himself to endure the drowsiness as he dragged his exhausted body toward the sofa in the middle of the living room. The moment his body touched the soft sofa, his head tilted back and he instantly fell asleep.

Not long after, faint snoring sounds echoed through the living room.

Seeing this, Notch silently pulled half a watermelon out of his pocket...

Seeing the half watermelon in Notch's hand, J was completely stunned.

"What are you doing? Planning to cover his face with the watermelon and suffocate him to death???"

Hearing this, Notch rolled his eyes.

"If he'd really done that back then, it'd actually have been better. He would've been locked up directly. Would there even have been all this afterward??..."

At this point, Notch shrugged helplessly and said, "Didn't I tell you before? About the lemon allergy incident..."

Hearing this, J suddenly looked enlightened. He slapped his forehead hard.
