Chapter 113 – Deal with Hunting Wolves.
The mad turtle warrior of slaughter. It's the name of the area boss the Zeus and Hunting Wolves are aiming for.
It's a humanoid monster that stands 6 meters tall and wears giant metal like turtle shell on its back like an armor that also covers its entire torso.
The monster face look like that of old man with beard and big smile on its face, like a very big smile through his entire face to the point it can be even assumed as if it was controlled by an evil spirit or something.
Like… Holy shit. If the drawn picture of that guy face is that like that, I would be surprised if that was man eating monster and stuff.
Anyway, beside that big creepy smile and possible being man eating monster, the mad turtle wields and giant meat cleaver sword.
This guy despise his turtle like appearance is quite fast.
He can deal huge amount of damage with that meat cleaver of his and it can also wields ice magic.
It's a strong monster according to the Zues, like very strong.
Not only that, but that guy defense is also no joke, especially his magic defense. Apparently, that guy can take big magic spells like nothing, so mages and priest as well as other spellcasting classes are quite weak against him.
And that what confused me by a lot?
I mean, my magic guns shots magic, they deal magic type damage, not physical type damage. So, wouldn't make more sense to get normal guns instead?
I even asked why the hell he would like a weapon that fires magic against enemy with high magic resistance.
So, Zeus explained.
The mad turtle has an ability that creates a barrier around himself that blocks attacks for him, pretty simple, right? Well, not exactly.
That barrier has a high physical resistance, if not straight up immunity to all weakest physical attacks, however the barrier itself doesn't have much resistance against magic.
So, you can get rid of the barrier fast with magic, simple? Well…. Not exactly yet again.
When the barrier is active, the boss monster gets a buff that let it go berserk, strengthen all of its abilities.
Not only that, it can use that barrier multiple times, meaning that the cooldown for it to use that barrier again isn't extremely long where it can't use it only once during combat.
Zues and the Hunting Wolves have a lot of members and they do have mages, but the problem is that berserker barrier state that it can enter multiple times.
Each time that guy went berserk, some of the guild members ended up dying and the more members died, the longer it would take to down the barrier, resulting in even more deaths each time it regained the barrier to the point the guild was wiped out.
Well, at least I know why he wanted the one shot powerful mana gun type.
Zues goal is probably plan to equip non spellcaster users with those magic guns and have them fire at that monster along mages in order to quickly get rid of the barrier.
However, will 10 guns be enough? This will be a big boss and everything.
Maybe he cannot have every single member wield the magic guns since they would be forced to either give buffs or block the boss movements?
Oh well, I got only order to make 10 magic guns, so I will make 10 mana guns.
However, for the Hunting Wolves to succeed in their quest I need to make a weapon with power and distance.
Normally, the magic guns in form of a shotgun has a medium range or close range shots. This type of magic gun does posses a lot of power, but that guy also wanted some range.
Should I make something like rifle then?
…
Nah.
It needs range, but it mostly need power.
I recently did started as well re
(Or is there something else going behind the scenes?)
"…."
(I'm really curios, but I should somewhat respect his privacy in order gain more of his trust.)
(So I should just shut up and focus my work and make sure it ends up somewhat successful at least.)
And so, I got to the work.
The model of the gun I'm making is a hand cannon type that shots one powerful and big shot.
That guy wants a weapon that can fire from safe range and deal lot of damage with one shot, however I should also do something with fire rate. The fire rate doesn't really need to be fast but enough for them to be fired again at the monster once its barrier is restored.
I did use my own money for my experiments and not Wolf, but that is fine since those experiments benefits me.
I did needed to mess around with materials that you can obtain near the Wolf city, especially the mana gems and mana crystals and after messing long enough, I managed to finally create something that will look like final product.
After messing around bit more and creating all 3 main parts of the mana gun, I started crafting for real and here is the finally product.
[Hunting Wolf Mana Hand Cannon]
[Rarity: Rare]
[Attack: 9 000 – 9 550]
[Ammunition: 1 shot – Cost per attack: 300 MP – Recharge after each shot. Cooldown between each shots.]
[Fire a big cannon sized blast of magic energy towards the target.]
{{Due to effect of title: [Mana Gun Crafter] attack power + 3%, [Evilin Hammer] +3% and [Evilin Magic Anvil] +1.5%. The power of the created item have been amplified.}}
"Hm…."
"Welp, it turned out good."
"I could have probably made it epic… But that would require bit more time and I don't know, maybe I could made into epic? I didn't really had much time to improve on this cannon version yet."
(Still, it's just like client ordered. A hard hitting gun.)
(However, each shot cots 300 MP and not only that, that gun range is mid-range…Well, not exactly mid-range, but not something extremely far shot as well as the fact that there is huge cooldown between each of the attacks.)
(You can fire from safe distance with this thing, but nothing extremely scary range and cooldown between shots make it somewhat bad… But still, it got everything that guy asked for.)
(Fire from safe range.)
(Huge damage per hit.)
(When it comes to the bows, guns or crossbows, their ammunition often decided results as well as combines power with the used weapons.)
(However the mana guns are much different.)
(They use user mana directly resulting in each shot using MP and often a lot of it!)
1 [Mana] is equal to 10 MP.
Stat upgrade per level:
-5 class point.
-10 stat points.
-+1 to all stats.
Stat increase after reaching every 100 level:
-Bonus 2 class point.
-Bonus 2 stat points.
-Bonus 0.5 to all stats.
User who has level 200 gain 250 to all stats, meaning they will gain 250 [Mana] = 2 500 MP, without spending a single stat point on the mana stat.
"Well, I did warned him and everything, so he cannot really complain about this."
(Let's meet up with him and see if he will be pleased with this thing.)
