Chapter 32 – Towards the second research.

After doing the necessary preparation and restocking my potions and replacing my weapons, I headed towards the forest in order hunt down the weed dragons.(You know, I've been in this forest many times already, but I still can't get enough of this place.)

(It is dangerous and all, but it's quite beautiful as well.)

"Well, there are those fuckers so it makes things annoying." – said Phantasia while holding some monster with his hand.

Phantasia snapped the monster neck, killing it and dropping its corpse on the ground.

(These bastards aren't as hard as before, but still they are extremely annoying and deadly if they ran at you in packs.)

(They even almost killed me when I had higher level than them.)

(They are extremely problematic bastards.)

(Anyway, the location pointed out by the quest should be somewhere here.)

Phantasia began looking around for any of the tracks left behind by the weed dragons while also dealing with dugus who came at him.

After some time passed, Phantasia found a tree covered on the one side with bite marks.

(Found it!)

(Okay. Now I need to look for those weed dragons.)

"?"

(Oh. Found some already.) – though Phantasia after looking behind the tree and seeing his target.

The monster that Phantasia spotted was indeed his target, the weed dragon.

The weed dragon was large and long monsters, similar to a big dog.

The monster torso looked like giant pile of leaves clustered together and from it, 4 legs were sticking out from it that looked like some sort of giant leaves, but were extremely thick and even each one posed deadly set of thorn claws sticking out.

The monster didn't possess any wings, but instead a long thick leave sticking out from its back that resembles wings, but were in reality not real wings.

The monster head looked most interesting with its appearance. The monster upper and lower part looked like there were just 2 giant leaves, but its fangs looked like thorns.

(It honestly look like a lizard than a dragon, but okay.)

(Anyway, it doesn't seem to have noticed me.)

(This crossbow has extremely high attack together with the bolt, but it turn it takes a bit of time to reload.)

(But fuck it.) – though Phantasia while aiming with his crossbow from the hidden spot.

(It makes it bit problematic in the longer lasting combat, but for hunting some annoying monsters its perfect!)

Phantasia aimed with his crossbow and aimed at the monster head.

After aiming perfectly, he pulled the trigger and the claw bolt flew at the dragon monster.

The monster heard the crossbow firing and before it could even turn its head around, the belt hit and pierced it right in the head, killing it instantly.

"…."

"Huh…. I honestly though it would survive that, since its plant and all, but nope?"

Phantasia looked around and after making sure there was no monsters nearby, he approached the monster corpse and retried his bolt.

(Well, she said that even average joe can take them down without much problem, so critical hit like that is quite obvious an instant death. Not only that, the crossbow unlike the other weapons who depends on stats like strength or agility, it instead has just straight up high attack. I also sacrificed the reload speed for the damage, turning it into quiet deadly weapon.)

(According to the information from the merchant and the alchemist in the city, the weed dragon materials are extremely valuable for many different things.)

(Especially mana related stuff since those materials contain good amount of mana.)

(With this and my equipment, I will be able to produce rare rarity potions in theory!)

The potions effect got boosted, but the limbs weren't the best parts.

The tail can be used for the health potion while the heart can be used for creating strong mana potion.

Heart is a rare drop from the weed dragons, but oh boy! It's a good stuff!

By the way, for somebody wondering, the skill level of the [Alchemy] had increased!

Not only that, thanks to my experience with using those tools from the hideout as well as thanks to the info from the merchants and the alchemist regarding the weed dragons materials, I knew before hand what short of effect they could have.

This all combined made making and researching potions WAY easier.

But also, my experience as the alchemist made me realize that with more experiments as alchemist, not as the class or anything, but as practicing alchemy and doing a lot of different stuff will help you improve yourself as alchemist.

So, yea, things were going well.

And not only that, but I was finally able to mass produce rare rarity potions.

By the way, even though the [Weed Dragon Potion] is my best potion I've made so far.

But! I can make them stronger! These things are only test version and I have many ideas on how I could improve them! For example, by mixing small ration of the weed dragon heart or maybe adding some of the dugus eyes.

Its possible to make those potions into rare rarity ones and maybe I will be able to create something with higher rarity than rare pretty soon?

Well, it will unforgettably take bit more time.

The weed dragon materials ARE indeed extremely useful, but unfortunately their raw form cannot be used for alchemy, you need to first change them into something usable like a liquid form and like I said before, it takes time.

Well, honestly, I'm complaining.

These potions are only experimental version that can be improved and yet they are that good.

And I can say 100% I can turn those potions into rare rarity one.

As for the [Weed Dragon Potion], I don't know.

I can definitely make it stronger, but can I make it rank go 1 up higher? If so, it would be a huge success.

So, yea, the materials from the weed dragons are WAY better than I though.

Not only that, I still have materials from its evolved version that I can mess around with. Maybe I can combine them with the regular weed dragon materials and strengthen the potions effects?

So many ideas that I want to test out now!

But there is one thing I need to mention.

Players are coming here and I saw some of them in here while I was doing shopping. I don't know how long it will take, but the players WILL get here.

My current research is getting closer to entering the finally stage I was aiming for.

I don't care if they see me in the public workshop or see me use my special tools, I DON'T FUKING CARE!

The current goal is right in front of me! And all I need to do is to ignore everything and focus.

Experiment more!

Produce more!

The [Alchemy] skill will soon reach level 10.

It just matter of weeks or maybe days now.

The thing I was waiting for so long will be done and the second research I was waiting for shit how long will be available to me.

So, screw everything and focus what is Infront of you.
