Chapter 1164: My Wife Is Quite Virtuous
The towel was still giving off steam.Holding that steaming towel, he walked over to the bed, sat down, and started wiping Scarlett Yates’s face with it.
As he wiped, he lifted his long, narrow eyes to look at her. Seeing the confusion written all over her face, he took the initiative to explain, "Your face is covered in sweat and tears, all sticky. It can’t be comfortable to sleep like that. Wipe it clean and then go back to sleep."
Scarlett’s eyes widened, like she had swallowed a whole egg in one gulp and that egg was now stuck in her throat, her eyes round and huge.
She stared at Matthew Saxon in shock, feeling like he was getting more and more attentive.
Before being with him, she’d never imagined he could take care of someone like this.
From childhood he’d lived a life of privilege, used to being waited on. Who knew where he’d learned this whole set of skills.
The hot cloth pressed over her face, and after he carefully wiped from her forehead all the way down to her chin, Scarlett felt her face much more comfortable and refreshed.
When he was done, Matthew Saxon patted her head, tucked her hand back under the quilt, and said in a low voice, "Sleep."
Scarlett blinked, staring blankly at him.
In her heart, she was thinking that Matthew would definitely make a good husband in the future. He cherished people so much and took such good care of them. His gentleness and thoughtfulness were honestly beyond anything she’d expected.
In the past, not knowing him at all, she’d always felt he was the kind of man who needed others to wait on him.
Yet now, it was him waiting on her.
With a man like this—face so breathtakingly handsome, wealth at a level that left people speechless, and on top of that, all kinds of tenderness and care, full of soft affection—there isn’t a single woman in this world who could resist him, right?
This kind of man had once only existed in Scarlett’s fantasies.
Now, fantasy had become reality. Such a perfect man had actually appeared in front of her and even become her husband.
So, this really wasn’t a dream?
If it was a dream, she truly hoped this dream would never end for the rest of her life.

The next day.
Matthew’s flight to A Country was very early. The ticket was for nine twenty, and Scarlett got up at eight to help him pack.
In the past, packing his luggage was Olly’s job, but with Scarlett volunteering, Matthew certainly wouldn’t refuse.
Having his own wife pack for him and having a maid do it felt completely different.
Scarlett packed quickly. In just over ten minutes, she’d packed up everything Matthew might possibly need.
"Do you want to check again and see if there’s anything I missed?" After she finished, she turned around and asked Matthew.
"No need." Matthew walked slowly to stand behind her, hugged her from the back, lowered his head to rub against her neck, and chuckled low. "Didn’t expect my wife to be this virtuous. Tell me, with you behaving so well, how should I reward you?"
He hadn’t shaved yet, and the stubble on his chin pricked her skin, tickling.
Scarlett couldn’t help bending over with a couple of laughs. She reached a hand back to push his head away from her neck. "It tickles to death. Go shave already."
"Scarlett, you shave it for me." Seeing her laughing so hard she was practically trembling, Matthew rubbed his stubbly chin against her again.
Early in the morning, not long after waking up, his voice was hoarse and scratchy, full of allure. Like he was acting spoiled, he leaned close to her ear and murmured, "Can you?"
His voice was low and husky, rich with magnetism, sounding sinfully sexy. When he deliberately acted coquettish, it carried an even more soul-hooking charm.
