Chapter 152 Summer Vacation is Coming!
Chapter 152 Summer Vacation is Coming!
"Brother Ellie, where are you taking us? We're about to miss our train."
"You're not going home this year, or rather, you won't be able to go home for the next few years. You'll be going to Germany for every holiday from now on," Emeric said as they walked. "Especially you two. Ron and Hermione are a little better off, but you two are the apple of our senior Tom's eye."
"..."
"Thank you, Ellie. Sometimes you don't have to be so disgusting." Draco's face turned green. Who wants to be Voldemort's darling?
"As long as you don't make a fuss and live with Gellert, it's fine. I've driven him so far that his standards are pretty low now. If you really piss him off, just mention Albus," Emeric said proudly. "As long as you praise Albus for his good relationship with him, you can blow up Nurmengard and it won't matter."
The five walked and talked, and the sound of a train whistle could be heard in the distance. Ron was a little nervous as he reached the headmaster's office. Although he knew Gellert wouldn't eat people, facing the most powerful dark wizard put him under immense pressure.
"Candied hawthorn".
"Albus, Gellert, I've brought them. When are you two leaving? Severus and I are leaving this afternoon." Emeric sat down very naturally, and when he saw the four little ones standing, he moved the sofa next to them.
"We'll leave after we've finished touring the castle. Aren't you coming with us?"
"No, I'm not going. Severus will be all alone if I leave, and Tom is after me now, so it won't make a difference where I go." Emeric was furious at the mention of this. He would make Voldemort pay him back sooner or later. This money could have been used to build Severus another workbench.
"Alright, I'll take good care of myself, don't worry."
"As long as you know what's going on, then Gale and I won't say any more. You can go back now." Dumbledore turned to the four children, "Have you all packed your clothes? We won't be back before school starts."
"Um, Headmaster, I have something I want to ask. Do my parents and Hermione's parents know about this?" Ron asked hesitantly, raising his hand.
"We've already talked to them about this, so don't worry," Dumbledore reassured them. "They all know. You can start thinking about what to do in Nurmengard. We'll leave after lunch."
"Yes, Principal." X4
"Then I'm off," Emeric stood up and waved to them. "Severus and I won't be going out this summer. If there's any news about what's on Harry's head, just write to let us know."
"Yes," Dumbledore said, twirling his fingers. "An old friend of mine said that the soul fragments only disappear when the vessel dies, and the rest haven't been contacted yet."
"You don't need to tell us the answer, it's like nobody knows..." Emerick isn't going to sacrifice himself again for this, he's not crazy.
After leaving the headmaster's office, Emeric walked down the empty corridor, feeling a little uneasy. This place was usually full of young wizards, and it was rare to see it so quiet.
"Severus, let's harvest all the herbs in the herb garden. They were almost ripe last week, and they'll probably rot in the ground after summer vacation." Emeric suddenly remembered their little herb garden, which he had put a lot of effort into, and couldn't let it go to waste.
Severus nodded. "Go ahead. I have to make my rounds later and won't be back until lunchtime." He didn't have time to pick the fruit. The four headmasters had to go check if any young wizards had overslept and missed their trains, and one of them would have to be sent back to help them.
"Okay~ I'll make it for lunch when I get back from preparing the herbs. What should we have for lunch?"
"Eat something light, whatever you like, just don't make it too salty," Severus said casually, unable to think of anything else to eat.
"Okay~"
Emeric put the hoe and small shears into the basket, picked up the basket, and headed outside, estimating he'd be back before noon. He'd take everything he could, leaving the rest for the unicorns to plant when he returned after summer vacation.
Although the trees provided shade from the sun, Emeric was still sweating profusely from the heat. His long, flaxen hair was casually piled on his head, and his gray shirt was stained with dirt, completely destroying his usually impeccable appearance.
"Click, click."
"Hmm? It's you guys. What brings you here?" Emeric took out a bunch of small fruits from his ring and tossed them to the unicorns. He hadn't visited them in a long time. He'd been busy studying lately, and if he hadn't suddenly remembered the herb garden, he probably wouldn't have thought of it until the end of the summer vacation.
"Let me brush your fur; your back fur is all messed up."
Severus was almost out of unicorn hair, so now that the medicinal herbs were almost finished, he had some time to do something else.
----------
"Severus, Gale and I have been in Nurmengard all summer. If you need to find me, just tell Ellie. He has a way of getting the letter to Gale's desk."
Dumbledore and Severus walked down the corridor. Dumbledore, dressed in a purple robe, swayed as he walked, occasionally turning his head to say something. Severus walked to the side with obvious disdain, still wearing his favorite black robe, only now it was adorned with cooling runes.
"I know, but could you please change your clothes? You always dress like a butterfly." Severus couldn't help but question Dumbledore. His eyes couldn't stand the purple floral dress; he needed to look at Emeric's smoky purple eyes more often to cleanse them.
"Is it not good-looking? Gail said it's not bad~"
"He's your old flame, how could he not say you look good? If I dressed like you, Ellie would say I look good too, okay?" Severus laughed in exasperation, suspecting that Dumbledore had lost his mind while having a twilight romance.
"I've finished this round, I'm going back to have dinner with Ellie. You can wander around if you want." He rolled his eyes at Dumbledore and turned to leave. He felt like he was going to lose his mind if he stayed with this guy any longer.
The only sound in the empty corridor was Severus's footsteps. Dumbledore, left behind, looked regretful. Why was it that no one but Gellert appreciated his clothes?
"Hmph, I'm going back to eat too. Gale is waiting for me." Dumbledore stomped his foot and headed toward the headmaster's office, acting as if no one cared about him.
Severus was a little unhappy when he opened the door and didn't see Emeric. Usually, Emeric was the one waiting for him. He casually hung his coat on the hanger and waited for Emeric to come back and tidy it up.
"I'm back, Severus, look!" Emeric pulled out a bottle of unicorn hair. "I had some good luck today, running into a herd of unicorns, and lots of baby unicorns too."
"It's really good." Severus took the bottle, then reclined back on the sofa. "Go cook, I'm hungry."
"Alright, the herbs are all in the basket. Take a look and see if there are any good ones. I'll plant some more next year."
"Um."
