Revelation of the Way of Heaven

Chapter 306 A New Conspiracy

Chapter 306 A New Conspiracy

On an island in the Atlantic Ocean, the rotors of a private helicopter, like four sharp swords, easily slice through the humid tropical air, and the huge roar slowly envelops this island known as "Eden" from afar.

Belfinger leaned back in his helicopter seat, gazing lazily through the cabin at the beautiful island that resembled an emerald set in the azure sea, his eyes remaining completely undisturbed.

He looked like a pale wax figure forgotten on a chair. His impeccably tailored silver-gray suit was wrinkle-free, yet strangely lacking in support, slumping limply against his thin frame. His face was unusually smooth, devoid of any sharp angles or the usual traces of emotion. Only in his half-closed eyes did a deep weariness of everything settle in a haze of melancholy.

Eden was the name given to the island by its guests, meaning a paradise without good or evil, without constraints, a place of unbridled enjoyment, an ideal place on earth bestowed by God. But Belphegor knew very well that this island was not a gift from God, but a paradise on earth that Lucifer, the boss, had bought and built at great expense. It was the headquarters of the Ebi Club, through which he controlled the world's top billionaires and indirectly controlled the entire world.

The helicopter finally hovered above its designated landing pad at one end of the island. The massive air blasts from its rotors pressed downwards, causing the meticulously manicured palm trees around it to sway violently and groan. Below, two rows of pretty young men and women in matching white uniforms stood respectfully with their hands at their sides, struggling to maintain their posture in the wind, their faces bearing well-trained, sweet, yet empty smiles.

The cabin door slid open, and even louder noise and tropical heat rushed in. As soon as Belfinger stepped out of the cabin, a handsome young man dressed smartly approached him and said, "You've finally arrived. The meeting is about to start, and they're all waiting for you."

"I know!" Belfinger said lazily, not taking his lateness seriously at all, and strode towards his destination—a beach on the east side of the island. There were five parasols on the beach, and under each parasol was a beach chair. Three of the chairs were already occupied. His own seat was empty, and the main beach chair was also empty, with a humanoid robot standing next to it.

Lucifer is the most mysterious person in the entire Evil Club. No one has ever seen what Lucifer looks like. Even though Belfinger has long been one of the seven core members of the Evil Club, he has never witnessed the boss's demeanor. All of Lucifer's orders are either transmitted through online meetings or, as today, delivered by that humanoid robot. Anything that requires the boss's personal intervention is handled by Samael, the second-in-command of the Evil Club. Samael is an old man who is already quite frail. Although time may change Samael, it can never change his irritable temper.

Rumors circulated that Lucifer was long dead and that Samael was the one truly manipulating the Evis Club behind the scenes. However, Belfinger didn't believe such nonsense. Unless Samael could calm himself down, Belfinger was willing to bet that the Evis Club would disband in less than two years, given his volatile temper.

"Sorry I'm late." Belfinger greeted the other three lazily, then waved symbolically to the humanoid robot in the main seat, but his nonchalant manner did not seem like he was remorseful.

"Belfinger, you're late again. You're always late for meetings." As Belfinger expected, Samael got angry again.

"There are always unexpected things in this world, and no one can always arrange their life according to plan," Belfinger said lazily. "So I'm sorry, being late today was also unplanned. I tried my best to get here on time."

"Can't you leave a little earlier? You always make excuses for being late and never face your own problems." Samael was angry at Belfinger's nonchalant attitude.

"Getting Belfinger motivated is probably harder than getting me to give up potato chips." Beelzebub, a middle-aged fat man weighing over 200 pounds, spoke up for Belfinger while munching on potato chips. However, Belfinger wouldn't be grateful because he knew that after complaining about being late, Samael would most likely accuse Beelzebub of constantly eating during a serious meeting. Beelzebub's defense was just to shut Samael up in advance.

"Beelzebub, if you want to eat your chips, just focus on eating them. Don't make unnecessary noises when you don't need to." Samael was getting even angrier listening to Beelzebub making muffled noises while chewing chips. He was about to say a few more words when he heard Lucifer's voice come from the humanoid robot's mouth, "Alright, stop arguing. I called you all here for a meeting because I have something important to tell you."

Although Lucifer never showed himself in front of the crowd, his authority was never diminished. As soon as he opened his mouth, everyone shut up and listened attentively to what he had to say. Even Beelzebub subconsciously controlled the sound of chewing potato chips.

"As you all know, Lords Fuyou and Xiangliu have been resurrected. Now, I will allow you to meet them," Lucifer said, calling out Samael's name.

Samael understood Lucifer's meaning, clapped his hands, and the once calm sea suddenly churned up huge waves. Two enormous figures slowly rose from the waves. One of them was a human-headed serpent with scales that shimmered with a ghostly green light. It was Fuyou, who had escaped from the Land of Witches. The other had nine huge serpent heads floating in mid-air, and its entire body was covered with bluish-black scales. It was Xiangliu, who had been released from the Platform of Emperors.

As soon as the two ancient ferocious gods appeared, a terrifying pressure enveloped the beach. Those who were able to attend the meeting today were naturally not weak, but under the pressure of the two, the four people present felt a sense of dread.

"In the ancient war, both of you were severely injured. After such a long period of recuperation, your strength has recovered to about 70-80% of what it was before. Now that spiritual energy on Earth is scarce, this is the extent to which they can recover for the time being. Next, we will officially begin the 'Judgment' plan," Lucifer explained from the side.

Upon hearing Lucifer mention the trial plan, even the usually lazy Belphegor perked up, exclaiming excitedly, "Our demon race has been preparing for so long, is it finally about to begin?"

"The key to the trial plan is to open the Crescent Moon City barrier, so that our demon army can pass through the void turbulence and enter Huaxu. With the current state of human cultivation, it is impossible to resist our demon army. The day the demon army returns will be the day of our demon race's revenge, and this world will once again welcome its master." Although the humanoid robot did not have a rich expression system, Lucifer's excited mood could be felt through his tone.

"Could it be that you already have a way to break the Crescent Moon City barrier, boss?" Mammon was infected by Lucifer's emotions, and his eyes gleamed with greed.

"Someone promised me that he could open the barrier for us. All we need to do is prepare for the arrival of the monster army," Lucifer said confidently.

"Boss, you actually believed someone's promise? In my opinion, a promise without a real guarantee is no different from the moon's reflection in the water." Mammon frowned. Although she was a greedy person, she was also a cautious one. Some say that greed can make people bold, but sometimes it can also make people careful, especially when it comes to protecting their wealth.

"We have no choice. We have made all the preparations. The only thing holding us back is the barrier of Crescent City. Besides, the guy who made the promise to me needs my help. The positions of Leviathan and Asmodeus have been vacant for a long time. Someone has to fill them. Once we complete this mission, he will become one of us, one of our own. I have no reason not to trust one of our own," Lucifer said confidently, as if everything was under his control.

Hearing his boss say that, Mammon had no objections. No one in the world could stop the trial plan from unfolding.

"In that case, what preparations should we make to welcome that bright future?" Belfinger asked.

"First, I need to make this world more chaotic so that those who are watching us will lower their guard," Lucifer said in a deep voice. "Second, even if the barrier of Crescent City is opened, the demon army in Buzhou Realm cannot be teleported over in large numbers. We need to lend them a hand. We need to build a large teleportation array so that our demon brethren in Buzhou Realm can continuously return to this world that originally belonged to them through this teleportation array."

"Neither of these things sounds too troublesome," Belfinger said, reverting to his languid demeanor. "But to teleport such a large army of demonic beasts, a super-large teleportation array would be needed, which would inevitably attract the attention of demon hunters."

"So the magic circle should be built in Australia. It's open terrain and within our sphere of influence. Even if it gets noticed, it doesn't matter, unless they want to start a world war," Lucifer said arrogantly. "Once the trial plan begins, conflict between us and humanity will be inevitable. There's no need to be afraid of conflict. Don't forget that we possess the power of the Ebi Club. As long as we still control most of the world's wealth, rest assured, those greedy humans will not hesitate to sell their souls to us. We have so many loyal servants, what is there to worry about?"

"It seems the boss has thought everything through. Then we will definitely be able to complete the next task perfectly," Samael replied confidently, clenching his fist.
