Revelation of the Way of Heaven

Chapter 134 Sealed World

Chapter 134 Sealed World

"&$%&$%……" The skeleton monster roared with earth-shattering fury from the thick fog, causing the dungeon to vibrate.

"They've gone in!" Guo Shiyi exclaimed in surprise.

"I have a bad feeling." Cold sweat involuntarily slid down Qin Xiaochuan's forehead.

"That goes without saying."

"The fog seems to be thinning," Xiaoying said.

Indeed, the fog was thinning, and they could now see each other's expressions. Half a minute later, the fog had almost completely dissipated, and they were free again.

"Watch out for the skeleton monsters' attacks!" he warned the others. However, unexpectedly, after the fog dissipated, the skeleton monsters remained motionless in place. Just as they were feeling slightly surprised, a dark shadow suddenly flashed into a circular black hole, which happened to be the original location of the seal.

"Clatter." After the dark figure flashed into the black hole, the skeleton monsters surrounding them scattered into a pile of grayish-white bones.

"That skeleton monster seems to have chased us inside," Guo Shiyi said. "It really is there to guard the seal."

So he asked, "Should we go in too?"

"Of course not. This skeleton monster is already so troublesome, who knows what other monstrous monsters are inside? Let's take this opportunity to escape quickly," Guo Shiyi said worriedly.

Qin Xiaochuan glanced at Han Kexin, who was frowning as she stared at the dark cave entrance, looking somewhat hesitant.

Although he felt uneasy, he had never liked Kawamoto Taro and his group, and it was hard for him to just sit idly by. So he said, "I think we should go in. Kawamoto Taro's purpose is definitely not simple. If he really has some bad intentions, we should go in now and maybe we can still stop them."

"But if we don't stop them, we'll have a hard time getting away. Maybe this is our only chance to escape," Guo Shiyi said dismissively.

"We have to try. If, as you say, there really is some kind of monster inside, wouldn't the harm be even greater when it's released? Maybe this is our only chance to stop it."

"Anyway, I can't tolerate these people acting recklessly," he added at the end.

Guo Shiyi fell silent after hearing his words, and they all focused their attention on Han Kexin, hoping that she could make the final decision.

"Zhou Bin and I will go in and take a look. You guys wait outside. If you find anything amiss, leave immediately. Don't wait for us," Han Kexin said coldly.

"Sister Kexin, you..." Guo Shiyi looked at Han Kexin in surprise.

"Are you kidding me? Do you think we'd abandon you and run away first if we were in danger?" He immediately rejected her plan.

Guo Shiyi nodded and said, "That's right. This time, Xiao Chuan and I are in agreement; we should all go in together."

"Do as I say," Han Kexin said without room for argument.

"I don't care, if we're going in, we'll all go in together." Qin Xiaochuan ignored her cold expression and said nonchalantly, "Actually, we don't need to worry at all. What kind of monsters could be inside that we can't handle together?"

"You really dare to say that. You're probably the weakest one here." Han Kexin rolled her eyes at him, clearly dissatisfied with his disobedient attitude.

"Is Sister Kexin afraid that we'll hold us back?" Guo Shiyi asked.

"No, I hope you can help me take care of Xiaoying," Han Kexin said, shaking her head.

"Auntie, I'm not afraid at all. Xiaoying is very strong." The little girl raised her little fist and shook it at them.

"That's right, I also believe in Xiaoying. After all, her spiritual power has already reached level 7, which is much stronger than mine. With Feifei's protection, who can hurt her? Your worries are excessive." He said speechlessly.

"What? Xiaoying's spiritual power has reached level 7?" Guo Shiyi looked incredulous. Qin Xiaochuan then realized that Guo Shiyi didn't know Xiaoying's true strength.

"Hmm, am I strong?" Xiaoying said to Guo Shiyi with a smug smile.

"So strong!" The latter nodded sincerely, then cupped Xiaoying's small face in his hands and stared at it for a long time as if it were a monster, while muttering to himself, "How is this possible?"

"Alright, stop hesitating. Let's hurry in. The longer we drag this out, the worse it will be for us." Seeing that Han Kexin was still hesitating, Qin Xiaochuan decisively made the decision for her. He took his backpack off his back and put it in the interrogation room, only taking some essential equipment with him. Then he picked up Xiaoying and said to her, "Let's go, Xiaoying, we're going in."

"Okay!" the little girl exclaimed happily, showing no sign of worry.

"Kexin's gone." Guo Shiyi smiled slightly at Han Kexin. "We're adventure partners, of course we'll go in together."

Upon hearing this, Han Kexin glanced at her, remained silent for a moment, and finally nodded, saying calmly, "Then let's go! Anyway, I can't stop you."

"hey-hey."

"Qin Xiaochuan, you must protect Xiaoying's safety no matter what." As soon as they entered the cave, Han Kexin instructed Qin Xiaochuan. The cave was still a spiraling passage, and there was no light inside. They relied entirely on the glow sticks in their hands for illumination.

"Of course," he said confidently. "Even if it costs me my life, I won't let the little girl get hurt in any way."

Han Kexin stopped talking after hearing what he said.

"What's that up ahead?" Guo Shiyi asked, pointing to a dark figure in front of her.

He brought the glow stick closer to the shadow and discovered that it was a stone tablet standing in the center of the passageway. The stone tablet was about the height of a person and looked very mottled, with white spots of weathering on it. In the center, four large characters were written from top to bottom.

Guo Shiyi asked him, "Do you recognize these characters?"

"We did study some ancient scripts in our major. Ancient characters were mostly pictographs, and my understanding of them is limited. However, I do recognize this second character because it's so pictographic. It's the character for 'human' in 'human race.'" As he spoke, he looked at the first character again, feeling like he had seen it before. "And the first character, judging from its shape, I guess it should be the character for 'life' in 'life'."

"Is it something like 'Stranger something'? It looks like this stone tablet is a warning sign," Guo Shiyi nodded and said.

"Whatever it is, let's hurry up and catch up. The longer we delay, the worse things will get," he said.

They walked down the passage twice and finally saw the light ahead, so they quickened their pace and soon rushed out of the passage.

"Wow, this place is so big!" The little girl couldn't help but exclaim as soon as she rushed out of the passageway.

What lay before them was like a vast hall, with a huge dome made of rock above, a flat ground below, and steep mountain walls on all sides.

A beam of light shone down from each of the four directions of the dome and converged on a huge rock in the center of the ground. The rock was nearly three meters high and was entirely greenish-blue.

Under the illumination of four beams of light, the boulder resembles a giant emerald, reflecting the beams into the entire space and turning the surrounding mountain walls and rocks green.

"Look, we've caught up with them," Guo Shiyi said, pointing to a dark figure ahead of them.
