Chapter 915: Wiped Out in One Sweep
Chapter 915: Wiped Out in One Sweep
But Willow Grant couldn’t hear anything Mr. Grant said after that, she just backed away with a deathly pale face.
Only when her back hit the cabinet did she finally mutter, "It’s over... we’re done for..."
Once Summer Monroe escaped, she would definitely tell Damian Knight.
Once Damian Knight was on guard, how were they supposed to make another move?
The best opportunity was already gone; it would be very hard for her to succeed again!
Mrs. Grant came out of the kitchen and saw Willow Grant looking like her soul had been scared out of her. She was so frightened she immediately set down the dessert and hurried forward to grab Willow’s trembling shoulders, asking worriedly, "Willow, what’s wrong with you? Willow’s dad, what’s wrong with Willow?"
Mr. Grant said stiffly, "I accidentally let that girl run away."
"What?!" Mrs. Grant’s eyes widened at once. "You took three mercenaries with you, and you still couldn’t handle one little girl?"
Mr. Grant had already been irritated from capsizing in the gutter like this, and when he heard her questioning him, his expression grew even more impatient.
"Both of you, knock it off! I’ll just send more people tonight, won’t that solve it? It’s going to happen sooner or later anyway, what’s there to fuss about? I’m tired, I’m going back to my room to rest!" Mr. Grant said, then turned and went back to the bedroom on his own.
Mrs. Grant bit her lip, then looked at the shaking Willow Grant and said, "Willow, don’t worry. Your dad will go again tonight. Then I’ll have him bring that little homewrecker right to you so you can torture her yourself and vent your anger, how about that?"
"No way!" Willow Grant clenched her fists and said, "That bitch Summer Monroe is sly to begin with. If you go again, you’ll just be walking right into her trap. In the end that bitch will walk away without a scratch, and we’ll be the ones finished, all taken down by her in one go!"
Hearing this, Mrs. Grant finally started to think it through seriously.
Indeed, if they’d already gotten rid of Summer Monroe, Damian Knight wouldn’t fall out with the Grant Family over a dead person. But right now they hadn’t succeeded, and Damian Knight was at an age full of hot blood; if Summer Monroe whispered a few words in his ear, he just might really turn on them.
At that thought, Mrs. Grant’s expression grew solemn.
She got up, called Mr. Grant out of the bedroom, and told him all of her concerns.
After hearing her out, Mr. Grant couldn’t help but furrow his brows tightly.
"Then in your opinion, what should we do now?"
Mrs. Grant narrowed her eyes coldly.
"What else can we do? We can only lie low for now and wait for another good chance to get rid of her. By the way, you didn’t leave anything behind that can be used against us, right? That little bitch shouldn’t know we were the ones trying to kill her, does she?"
Mr. Grant nodded. "Relax, I sent mercenaries. Even though it was across the street, I still saw that they already took poison."
Mrs. Grant let out a sigh of relief, then turned to comfort Willow Grant. "Willow, don’t be anxious. The day after tomorrow is Monday, and your results will be out. Susan Stone cares most about pros and cons. I’ll go to school with her then. Once she sees you ranked first in the prep class, she’ll definitely know who to choose between you and that little bitch. Without Susan Stone’s approval, that little bitch isn’t getting through the Monroe Family’s door."
Willow Grant had a thousand unwilling feelings in her heart, but in order not to let Damian Knight find out they’d already made a move on Summer Monroe, she could only hold herself back for now.
What a pity, such a perfect opportunity... just gone like that.
"Oh right, Willow." Mrs. Grant asked, "You’re confident about your results this time, aren’t you? You can get first place, right?"
Willow Grant’s back stiffened, and she couldn’t help swallowing.
