Izuna groggily opens his eyes and looks at his surroundings. A patch of whiteness extends as far as his eyes can see.

"Onii-san, you are awake!"

A gentle voice echoes in his ears, removing the dizziness and discomfort.

"A-Ayaka!"

Izuna turns around with hesitation.

A young, beautiful, fair-skinned girl with thigh-length navy blue hair tied in two messy low pigtails with a square fringe hanging just above her crystal blue eyes appears in his vision. The girl is dressed in a traditional kimono. Her deep black eyes flicker with stars, nebulae, galaxies, and several other psychedelic patterns.

"Izuna Onii-san!"

A look of worry and care reflects in the girl's eyes.

"Ayaka, it's really you!" A sense of relief appears on Izuna's face.

However, in the next instant, sorrow, pain, grief, and various other emotions appear in his heart.

"I failed to fulfill my promise! I failed to protect everyone and even I..." Izuna sighs with remorse and guilt.

"But you aren't dead, Onii-san!" Before Izuna could continue, the sweet voice cut him off.

"I-I AM NOT DEAD!" Izuna is startled to hear this.

He looks around at the familiar space and then glances down at his soul body.

"But this state and that river of reincarnation... there is no doubt about it that I died back then!"

"Onii-san, just listen to me once!" The Ayaka in front of him produces a fan out of nowhere and hits Izuna's head.

"You are as stubborn as always. Never listening to anyone else..."

"And you are as lively as always, even in your next reincarnation." Izuna sighs.

"I am sorry, but I failed to protect you in the past and now I failed to protect you in your present!"

"ONII-SANN!"

Pa... Pa... Pa...

Ayaka's face turns red in anger and she beats up Izuna with her fan.

"Will you listen to me for once?"

"Alright! Alright!"

Izuna sits in a dogeza position with several bumps on his head.

"First of all, you are not dead!"

"I am not dead?!" Izuna tilts his head in confusion.

"Currently, you are in a state of suspended animation. That means you are dead, but not dead at the same time."

"What does that even mean?" Izuna rolls his eyes.

"It means you died once and your soul came to the river of reincarnation to reincarnate. However, before you could reach the final destination of souls, I pulled your soul from the river to this place." Ayaka adds.

"That's the ability of a God! Are you a God?!" Izuna rolls his eyes.

"Of course, I am a God!" Ayaka puffs her cheeks with a prideful expression.

"Fine! I give up! You were indeed a God in this reincarnation." Izuna shakes his head.

Still, his death wasn't normal. He died from Shutendōji's divine technique. So, normal divine techniques like Rinne-rebirth cannot resurrect him. His secondary soul is already dead, and this is his true soul, ready to reincarnate.

"Hehe... I am not just a normal God! But I also have another identity!" Ayaka grin.

Ah...

A powerful aura burst from Izuna's body. Six Sin eye floats behind him in the void.

Shiing... Shiing... Shiing...

One by one, each Sin eye opens and releases a burst of energy towards Izuna's body.

Izuna's body recovers rapidly, the Heart eye absorbs the black Abyssal aura of death. Izuna's inner organs, flesh, and muscles recover and within seconds he returns to his peak state.

The power of chaos, order, soul, death, and several laws slowly fuses into Izuna's body, birthing an abstract concept of his own. Izuna's aura rises rapidly as he merges these foreign powers and makes them his own.

"Godhood Ascension!"

Seiryū mumbles as he stares at Izuna with shock.

'This guy... he is attempting to ascend to become a God!' Seiryū thinks to himself. He glances at Shutendōji.

'Shutendōji's current avatar only possesses the power of a low-level God. Perhaps it might really work. But this situation... isn't it a bit too risky to ascend in front of an enemy? What if this bastard attacks him?'

"Oh!"

The expression of Shutendōji's avatar also changes.

"Interesting! With some external help, he broke through his mortal shackles and is now ascending to Godhood. Isn't this the same situation as that brat, Shibai?"

Shutendōji glances at Izuna with curiosity. Contrary to Seiryū speculation, Shutendōji has no intention of disrupting Izuna's godhood ascension.

"Quite daring of you to absorb the power of chaos, order, decay, corruption, death, soul, space, and time as your own. Each of these concepts encompasses a domain of their own and yet you want to absorb them all. Haha... I have never seen someone with the likes of you. Now it makes me more curious to know what secrets your body holds. Studying you will be more worthwhile than Shibai."

Shutendōji extends his palm to grab Izuna in his hand. A massive Avatar appears behind Shutendōji.

Shiing...

Izuna opens his eyes, revealing a white star in one eye and a dark black hole in another.

"Repel!" Izuna mumbles slightly.

An invisible force repels the Avatar's massive palm.

Hmm...

"You have already grasped a portion of your power?!"

Suddenly, Shutendōji's expression changes and he glances at his body.

"Looks like this body is about to reach its limit."

Shiing...

A glimmer flashes across Shutendōji's Jōgan.

"This body of yours shares the bloodline of Otsutsuki. That means you share a bond of karma with me, the progenitor of the Otsutsuki clan. How can it be so easy to sever this karma?"

Shutendōji glances at the bonds of karma around Izuna and notices a thin string connected to a distant plane.

"That's the karma you share with me."

Izuna also notices the threads of karma around his body. With his successful ascension to a God, the threads of fate, karma, and destiny are visible to his naked eyes. Previously, he could only sense them. But now, we can feel and even touch them.

"I have to quickly sever the thread of Karma with the Otsutsuki!" Izuna's eyes turn sharp and he raises his hand to chop the threads connected to the Otsutsuki.

"It's easier said than done, boy!"

A/N:- This chapter and the previous chapter might appear confusing to everyone and I agree because these chapters are already touching the Boruto territory with Otsutsuki and their broken divine abilities. Toneri was able to see Boruto's fate and karma using his link with the Jogan. Similarly, Momoshiki also saw Boruto's fate and karma with his Byakugan. So, all of these are divine techniques; a power exclusive to Gods as the Otsutsuki proclaims themselves. In Boruto, we have Senrigan, a dojutsu that can change reality to fit its user's whim and various other broken powers. So, in short a bunch of broken abilities thrown here and there.
