Chapter 636: Lord Shutendōji

"No wonder he chose to ascend in this small dimension!"

Shutendōji finally opens his eyes and glances at the duo in front of him.

"There is a fragment of primordial chaos and order's physical body in this dimension." He mutters.

His gaze turns sharp as he focuses his attention on Izuna. Beads of sweat trickle down Izuna's forehead as he recalls something.

'So, he found out about the Order and Chaos: Kalacakra!'

That's right! Izuna did find a fragment of Lord Chaos and Lord Order, the personification of universal balance sealed within this small dimension. To be exact, he found each of their respective eyes. Lord Chaos and Lord Order are similar to the body of Shutendōji in front of them, a physical manifestation of two abstract concepts of Chaos and Order.

They are the fulcrum of the universe's balance and are responsible for the stability of the world. However, both of them perished because of one reason or another. In their heyday, these two figures were much, much more powerful than Shutendōji, Ōnikunishi, and the ruler of Abyss, Lord Mikaboshi.

The eye of the Lord Order was sealed within the core of the only sun of this dimension. While the eye of the Lord Chaos was hidden within the depths of the space, inside the only massive Blackhole in this dimension.

After mastering his Light and Darkness powers to the extreme, he felt a connection with the eyes. So, following that connection, he discovered both eyes.

The power of these eyes was extremely volatile and hard to tame. Even now, their power is present in a sealed state.

Despite being of the same origin, the power of these eyes represented conflicting concepts on either end of the spectra. It was an impossible task to find the balance between their powers.

However, Izuna was able to do the impossible and find the balance of their power. This was only possible because of Izuna's unique power: his first boon to have an affinity for elements.

The elements in the boon differ from the five chakra elements and the non-elemental nature. His boon encompassed all types of elements, including obscure ones too, like Light and Dark.

It was only much later that Izuna found out just how broken his first boon was. This boon not only allowed him to master almost every technique but even delve into the fundamental forces of the universe.

So, because of this powerful boon, he had an inherent affinity for chaos and Order. This affinity allowed him to act as the fulcrum of balance between these two conflicting elements.

'However, I am still weak and unable to draw the complete power of these two eyes.' Izuna sighs to himself.

"Your existence is an anomaly- a presence against the natural order!" Shutendōji opens his mouth as he glances at Izuna from head to toe.

Shiing...

He observes Izuna's past, present, future, fate, karma, and destiny with his Jōgan.

HUH!

For the first time, a surprised expression appears on Shutendōji's face.

"I can see your past and present, but you seem to have no future!" He mutters.

'Of course, if you kill me here. How will I have a future?' Izuna makes a mental remark.

"But that's not the most intriguing thing. Your fate, karma, and destiny are deeply inter-linked with this world and yet you are free from the shackles that come with these ties. This shouldn't be possible unless you aren't being of this dimension. But your origin and existence say otherwise!"

The curiosity in Shutendōji's eyes deepens.

'He might not be a match for them. But his secret card is more than enough to make number ten and number nine have second thoughts about pursuing him. Any lower number will just instantly suppress him without giving him any chance to react, just like the current situation.' He takes a sidelong glance at Izuna's frozen body.

Shutendōji inspects Shibai's body with curiosity.

"Hmm... so that's the Senrigan - a replication of Jōgan created by Shibai."

Shutendōji silently laments.

"That brat had the potential to be the second vessel. Unfortunately, he learned what he shouldn't have."

Shutendōji's finger twitches slightly and a drop of blood flies out from Shibai's body. A bloody aura escapes from the blood drop and condenses into a red skull.

"What a strange and obscure concept of power! Totally different from anything even I have seen so far!"

He waves his hand and isolates the strange aura in a bead.

Swish... swish... swish...

Numerous seals appear on Shibai's body and isolate his aura. Shutendoji extends his palm and seals Shibai's body in an orb. The orb silently floats behind his body.

'Looks like the time is almost up!'

Shutendōji feels the slight deterioration of his body and aura.

"Too weak!" He shakes his head again and turns his attention to Seiryū and Izuna.

Swish...

A sealing formation appears around Izuna's body. Shutendōji makes a gesture and compresses Izuna's body in a similar orb to that of Shibai.

"Shit! It's now or never." Seiryū's expression changes.

He hastily takes out a strange arrowhead and throws it towards Shutendōji.

"I hope it works. I hope I didn't steal anything counterfeit from father's treasury.' Seiryū prays in his heart.

Fun Facts:- Shutendōji is an mythical evil Oni from Japanese mythology. I picked this name because of the Otsutsuki clan's horned appearance.

Also, Ibaraki, the name of resurrected child of Kaguya isn't any random name. It's the name of Shutendōji's minion from mythology.

Similarly, Ōnikunishi is the Lord of Underworld that controls souls from Japanese mythology. This also sets well with the Tentai Yōkai's ocular power Reign or Soul eyes i.e. their ability to control life and death.

As for the Lord of Abyss, Mikaboshi. He is god of evil in Japanese mythology.

I hope you like the details and research I put into their naming. Also, this isn't the only thing that I put effort in. Even the various techniques and jutsu previously used by Madara have similar origin and lore. I wrote it in such a way to make it authentic since Naruto takes the name of their techniques and characters from Shinto Gods and mythology classics.
