"This is the thrill of the battle!"

Madara grabs the spear and spins it in the air. He wields the spear and points its tip toward the shinobis.

HAAH

Madara infuses wind chakra into the spear and throws it toward the allied shinobi force.

Fwoosh

The spear accelerates forwards and pierces through several shinobis. It stabs through multiple shinobis and pins its body on a nearby boulder.

"Looks like not all of you are incompetent." He glances at the thrower of the spear.

Sakumo retracts his hand after throwing the spear.

Madara glances at the other shinobi around Sakumo.

Bang Bang

He punches the head of a sand shinobi and shatters his skull. Blue streams of chakra flicker across Madara's eyes, hands, and legs.

He grabs a Konoha shinobi by the throat and slams him on the ground.

Boom

Madara stomps on his head and smashes it like a watermelon.

"Die!"

A samurai from the Land of Iron attacks him with a chakra-infused blade.

Slash

Madara blocks the blade with his left arm and stabs his right hand through the armor of the samurai and pierces his heart.

Bzzt

Lightning chakra flickers around his fingers.

Splash

Madara kicks the blade of the samurai and wields it to block a sword strike from another shinobi.

"Uchiha Style: Moonlight Sword Dance,"

Wielding the blade, he performs a series of sword strikes and slices several shinobis in half.

A sword strike blocks Madara's attack.

Fwoosh

Madara feels the strength in the attack and jumps back to take a close glance at his opponent.

"Oh, it's you!" He recognizes Sakumo as the earlier wielder of the spear.

"Kenjutsu: Execution Slash,"

Sakumo swings his chakra blade and unleashes a barrage of white chakra blades.

Clang clang clang

Madara infuses wind chakra in his blade and deflects every attack with ease.

He raises the sword above his head in an arc.

"Uchiha Style: Dance of the Sun Sword Halo,"

Swoosh

Madara disappears from his position. Several afterimages attack Sakumo from all directions.

Haah

Sakumo pulls his blade in front of his chest.

"Mikazuki no Mai (Dance of the Crescent Moon)"

Several shadows escape from Sakumo's body and each of them intercepts Madara's afterimages.

Clang clang clang

Sparks fly around on the battlefield as Madara and Sakumo trade blow with each other.

After trading a series of sword strikes and evenly matching against each other, the two separate.

"You are pretty good with a sword!" Madara passes a rare compliment to Sakumo.

Haah

Sakumo takes a deep breath and clenches the hilt of his blade. He riles up his chakra and his body emits a white aura. The white aura wraps around the blade.

"Secret Technique: Sword Halo of Waning Moon,"

He swings the blade in an arc and generates several afterimages of the blade.

Several water users walk in front of the giant flame attack and make a series of hand signs.

"Water Release: Wall of Water,"

"Water Release: Wall of Water,"

The shinobi expels a large amount of water from their mouth to create a gigantic wave of water to match Flame God's jutsu.

The clash of two powerful jutsus generates a large amount of steam. The steam blinds the vision of the shinobis.

Kazuya spews out several Dragon-headed fireballs from his mouth. The fireballs move erratically and cover the frontal, left, and right sides of the army.

HAAH

Hizashi Hyuga jumps in front of the attack.

Hizashi confronts Kazuya. A layer of chakra reflects on his fists. He covers his fists with a thin layer of chakra to use the gentle fist art.

Kazuya also reciprocates Hizashi's gesture and covers his hands with flames.

HAAH

He unleashes a forward punch and sends a wave of fire forward. Hizashi sends a palm blast forward to meet Kazuya's attack.

"Gentle Fist: Vacuum Palm,"

Both attacks clash and cancel each other.

ORA

Kazuya releases a barrage of flame fists. Hizashi also matches his momentum with similar vacuum palm attacks.

"Hizashi-sama!" Several other Hyuga clan members flicker to his assistance.

"I can manage on my own. Help others will their battle." Hizashi glances towards Asuma and his team, who are struggling against the collective attacks of the rest of Guardian Twelve Shinobis.

"Sensei, these people are quite tough." Shikamaru dodges a strike from a hairless monk.

"It's hard to believe that Sensei was a former member of such a group." Ino dodges a barrage of senbons from a woman with orange hair.

"Well, I was also young once!" Asuma clicks his tongue and ignites the smoke he expelled earlier.

The Hyuga clan members come to their aid, easing the pressure from the group.

BOOM

Suddenly, a gigantic pillar of water rises from the center of the mist. A huge tidal wave sweeps away several shinobis and the Zetsu soldiers.

"What what's that?"

A momentary mirage of a giant clam shell appears and fades away.

Blub Blub

Slowly, several small water bubbles encompass the entire area.

"Quick, dodge those water bubbles!"

A Hyuga clan member issues a warning to the rest of the shinobis.

"Too late!"

A tall, slender man with blonde, hair, tied in a combed-back style appears among the group. The stranger has a triangular goatee, a thin mustache, no eyebrows, and very prominent lines at the sides of his mouth.

He snaps his fingers.

Pop Pop Pop

Several water bubbles detonate into a series of explosions.

"Enemy attack!"

Several shinobis release a barrage of kunais, shurikens, and needles to attack the stranger.

Fwoosh

However, all of their attacks pass through his body and hits their allies.

"It's useless! The 'me' you see now is just an illusion, a mirage of my technique!" The stranger opens his mouth.

"This technique"

A few veteran shinobis from Kirigakure recognize the technique.

"He is the Second Mizukage, Gengetsu Hozuki!"
