Chapter 450 Do You Trust Me?

"A live stream video that shook the entire country. Two prominent figures, Sekani Waynworth and Jesús Silva, were seen being tortured for information in what looked like a rundown interrogation cellar by government officials.

"Nobody knows how this footage was obtained but we've received a statement from the family lawyer of the Waynworth family, Mahindra Khan, a giant in our country. He assured us that they'll be suing the entire government and requesting for a thorough investigation."

There was nothing to argue about that, while he wanted to protect her, she wanted to protect him. But maybe they could do that by trusting and being open with each other.

Kiro maintained his smile, "yes of course, I know that."

"Do you trust me Kiro Waynworth?"

He knew he trusted her but the words didn't want to come out for some reason, there was a large lump in his throat. He had people now, people he could trust, yet there was always that voice at the back of his mind, pushing him away from every good thing he was trying to build.

Like he had to carry the burden of everything all by himself. It was tiring but it was also the only way he knew how to be effective.

She was still looking at him though, waiting for his answer, she wasn't going to rush him, she would be patient with him.
