Chapter 430 Reviving

Wilfred was busy at work. Without the hospital and it's seamless technology there were chances that James wouldn't make it.

He had used a really thin knife that was not even sterilised to cut the incision. Wilfred looked for an exit wound but didn't find one, this was getting a lot more complicated.

Especially because they were in a crossfire, trying to stay out of the way as many bullets came flying to their position. Grey and Jesús trying their best to buy them some time.

"Are you going to be done any time soon?" Jesús asked getting out of the way of an oncoming bullet.

The noise made it harder to hear each other because the silencer was no longer on any of their guns.

"Have you ever done this?" Wilfred shot back with a venomous glare.

His hands were deep within James' guts, he'd only known the kid for a couple of hours. He was couldn't for the life of him piece it together as to whg he took a bullet for him. Now he felt obligated to save his life, Wilfred didn't show it but he was panicked.

The life he had lead gave him so many experiences but this one was a first for him. Nobody he'd ever known had ever taken a bullet for him, so he didn't know what to feel, he just knew that he wanted to save him.

Upon seeing the venomous look shot his way, Jesús cleared his throat and gave him an apologetic look.

Wilfred didn't have anything else but his two hands to take the bullet out, with the blood in the way, he knew it wouldn't be easy but he concentrated and started wiggling his hand around his insides, looking for any foreign object that shouldn't be there.

Fortunately for James, he was able to locate it after several minutes of looking. It was extremely small, his fingers dropped it more than once which set him on another journey of finding it and the mission of picking it up.

Wilfred was sweating profusely, he'd done many jobs in the past but none have ever made him sweat like this. After much of this stress, he finally took out.

"Just how big is this place? We've been here since forever and have yet to see the mouth of the mine!" Jesús complained running alongside the two.

"It would be useless to run into the captives while there were still so many guards to take out. It's better this way, at least now we won't shoot at the innocent people by mistake." Wilfred said almost out of breath, even he was a human, evolved as they were, they still got tired when their bodies were put in extreme situations.

And Wilfred was not young anymore, his old bones complained of the strain he was putting them under but he ignored it.

"I think I see him." Grey said looking straight ahead, he was the only one visible to the fight happening up ahead. "He's fight someone, where's the young man? Nikolai Black?"

Soon enough they could all see, the closer they got the easier it was to read the situation. They could see Nikolai beaten black and blue on the ground unconscious.

"You think you're something special now huh, slum rat?" Arnold was frustrated, he couldn't get a clean off Sekani.

"Imagine that, cant even get a hit on an ordinary slum rat." Sekani mocked.

"Master Waynworth!" Wilfred cried out, placing James next to Nikolai.

"Not another step Wilfred, this idiot is mine, please see what you can do for Nikolai there. I can handle him." He ordered.

Wilfred of course had seen him move before, he'd been on the other end of his punch while they spared, he wasn't worried about him as a fighter, he was just being a dutiful butler.

"Yes sir." He quickly knelt down checking the boy for any injuries.

"Haha, just because you outplayed and outsmarted Blakeson you think you can get out of this fight alive?"

Sekani chuckled taking off his jacket suit and rolling up his shirt sleeves, "I don't think I can. I know I can."
