Chapter 4 GOING TO THE LIBRARY

Early in the morning, the next day.

Alan woke up feeling refreshed. After getting out of bed and freshening up, he headed to the kitchen and prepared a light breakfast.

The house was empty, as his mother and sister had already gone out. After having a light meal, he sat down in the living room, cross-legged on the couch.

First, he needed to get used to his own talents. From what he understood yesterday, after looking at multiple people, he knew that he could gain information about individuals. So, thinking along this line of thought, Alan was thinking maybe he could identify himself as well and glean more information about himself.

The logic was there. After all, his ability was to glean and find information about a target that his eyes were laid on.

Alan opened his smartphone and opened the camera, then he looked at his own reflection.

In a moment, a few pieces of information were projected in his sight.

Talents:

[The Eye of RA]: The All-Seeing Eye, the eye that can get information on the material and the immaterial, the eye that is linked to the codex of existence, the ability allows the user to find information about anything and everything that his eye is laid on. The stronger the ability user is, the more information can be obtained.

[Void Walker]: the ability to harness the void, traverse space, and become one with it. A special ability granted the user a great deal of freedom and a power beyond measure. At the early stages, the ability manifests at a very slow rate. And, the stronger the user becomes, the stronger the ability becomes.

After looking at his own data, Alan was mortified.

After his awakening ceremony, he thought that he had awoken one talent and that it was an information-type talent. But, looking at the data, it seems that he had awoken three talents. The first one is The Eye of RA, which is the ability that grants him information about anything his eye is laid upon.

The second ability seems to be some sort of a special ability. Still, he didn't feel anything, and he didn't feel this ability manifest in him.

He came to the conclusion that maybe he is just too weak to manifest such a special ability.

The third talent was full of question marks, clearly unknown.

Thinking back to his awakening ceremony and the three giant spheres and orbs that he saw when he was in a trance inside that dark space, thinking back to it, his three talents must be connected to these three spheres. Each sphere might represent a talent. There's still too little information to know.

After sorting out his thoughts, he wanted to head to the library and use his ability more to gain a better understanding of how he can put it to work.

He looked for information about these side jobs. There are many side jobs that the Beast Tamer can do. But, looking at his own talent, he learned about a very suitable side job for himself as an evolutionmaster.

Becoming an evolution master is an absolute challenge that he has to tackle.

Evolution masters are without a doubt the most prestigious occupation in the human federation right now. An evolution master could devise a plan for beasts to evolve them.

This occupation demands a great deal of knowledge, and the bar to becoming an evolution master is almost as high as the sky.

The difficulty and the high position of evolution masters are clearly stated inside the books that he has skimmed through.

But having The Eye of RA as a talent would become extremely useful in this occupation, making an evolution master a tailored job for himself.

Collecting his thoughts, the first thing he was determined to keep his information-related talents and his multiple talents a secret for now, as it could bring him a great deal of trouble if someone knew about it.

To clear his mind, he went to the nearby public park, and he sat on an empty bench.

He wanted to verify the extent of his talent.

Looking around, he spotted a pigeon-sized bird. Information started to come into his field of view about the beast:

After watching the information, Alan knew that his guess was right. His ability could identify the evolutionary paths and the most optimal way to evolve any beast. It was basically tailor-made to become an evolutionary master.

Taking in a deep breath, he knew that he had gained a lot today. And, it was late, so he better head home and start preparing dinner for his mother and little sister.

Now he had a clear idea about how to fix his financial situation. and to move forward from that point on.
