"Pheww" Leon sighed in relief upon seeing cane.
It was only natural, on Leon’s side was a level 4 great mage, a peak level 3 mage with a Special flame and the faystone ancestor of old.
This line up was actually scary....he had to go back and restrategize.
"Hehe, success" the figure of an aged man with a sword for a hand descended next to Leon and the rest with a wide smile on his face.

He had thoroughly beaten old zaki to a pulp. Even with zaki’s years of experience he could not win against the old monster of the waterway household.
"Thank you senior for lending a hand" Leon bowed slightly to The elder swordhand as a show of respect. He couldn’t have done it without the old man...the key of this battle was to isolate the powerhouses so they couldn’t help the dalriss family members forcing the marquee to a corner.
And to that effect he needed the waterway family.
"Hehe, it is my pleasure to help you and this great Sir in his endeavour" the elder swordhand said while looking over at Arians father with the side of his eyes.
The only reason he was helping Leon was because of this man right here. Their family has always lacked a level 4 mage to push them one step forward.
So you could imagine how thrilled he was to find this one offering to protect them unconditionally. Even going as far as saying he wouldn’t interfer in their family activities.
It was a dream come true.
"You have my promise..." Arians dad said causally while still watching Canes fleeing silhouette. He knew how Despicable cane could be, if they let their guards down he might just come back and sneak attack them.
"Thank you!!" The elder swordhand bowed down in appreciation. Now he could fully focus on consolidation power in the family....
If only he knew that Leon had other plans for the company.....
"Where’s jade?" While everyone celebrated this win, Arian said with alarm. During the fight she had engaged in battle with both Lucian and Thane from bladwin faction.
Thane was severely injured laying in a pool of blood, lucien had escaped with Alaric and jade was nowhere to be found.
"Damn Dalriss family scum!!" Leon spat in annoyance subtly placing the blame on the dalriss family.
Who else would be able to take Jade a level 3 mage under their noses?
"Going to the Dalriss Household isn’t the best. Let’s also fall back and restrategize" Arian’s father suggested. In as much as he didn’t fear Cane, he also understood that Cane was a force to be reckoned with especially in his home turf.
"Sigh!!" Leon sighed with helplessness, there was nothing they could do right now, but the faceless mercenary company would do whatever was in their power to bring her back.
"Let’s fall back to the faystone family household, we can camp there until an opportunity arises" the elder swordhand suggested.
He could tell from Leon’s tone that he was going to do something stupid so he wanted to stop at as soon as possible.
"You’re right, maybe we should regroup" Leon agreed and a few minutes later they left with prisoners from the other factions.
However, before they left a sort of ominous undulations erupted in the air and slowly Dialed down as a gate faded in and out of existence.

The amour had a red chest plate and several items of amour. It wasn’t full body, but it wasn’t light either.
For every step of the dungeon that was the duan royal Palace...a new strategy had to be made. And Leon was versatile.

The door to the next room swung open slowly revealing another room in the same style and grandur, but at the end of thw room, there was a massive minator sitted in wait for Leon.

Leon pulled out both his daggers and ran forward at full speed directly at the minator.

Noticing, Leon running towards it, the minator picked him up a Axe from its side and swung sideways in an attempt to cut Leon.

Leon dodged.
One thing he needed to prioritise was speed. The minator was powerful but slow. As long as he could dodge it sufficiently he would win.

With the clearing available Leon began attacking the minator with all he had. However the original problem he had been having all this while showed itself.
The vitality of this minator was crazy. Leon didn’t have much experience fighting monsters in this world, but he was sure this was no normal creature.
Its wounds would heal as soon as Leon slashed it on every turn. It was abnormal.
"Shit, I guess I have no choice."
Leon jumped backwards and said. Then he proceeded to clip both of his daggers together.. ....and strangely they fit just like a glove.
His double daggers had morphed into a one big dagger twice its size.
"Now, let’s do this again" Leon smirked and dashed forwards with all his might again this time with a visible confidence.
He had planned extensively in how to take down these monsters. All for his ultimate goal.

It would be hard, yes. But Leon was prepared to go the extra mile for it
