Astralorbis—the world Alex had reincarnated into—is a very big world, and when it's said very big, it isn't meant in size. This single world consists of various worlds connected to each other.

But soon, as the residents of every world were trying their best to create some kind of magic or artifact that could make them cross the space barrier, one particular world made the impossible possible.

They made it—the artifact to shield people from the unstable space energy. It took almost all of their resources to make that one artifact, but due to that, people started to connect slowly. That artifact was the first step in making teleportation from one world to another possible, and the ones who made it were the dwarfs.

It is since then that dwarfs are called the best craftsmen, blacksmiths, or artificers. They created many things—they were even hired by other races to create things.

But of course, the best of their creations were all on their own land, which was called Thragmora. One of such famous creations of theirs was the Moonlit Enchanted Avalon—the largest amusement park ever created.

Alex had brought Mira to this exact place by using his own personal teleportation device.

Right now, the sun was high, casting a warm glow over the city as both of them made their way through the bustling streets. The park, a sprawling amusement haven at the edge of the city, awaited them. The air was filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the distant hum of rollercoasters swooping through the sky.

"Are you excited?" Alex asked, glancing down at Mira. He noticed how she gripped the helm of her dress tightly, her eyes blank as always, but Alex could feel curiosity from them as if every new sight was something to be explored.

Mira, who rarely showed emotion, couldn't stop her lips from quivering, trying to form a smile as she saw faces filled with smiles walking past her.

"It's... different," she murmured, her gaze sweeping over the towering rides ahead. It was hard for her to speak, but with Alex's hand in her hand, she found it doable. "I feel... strange in my stomach."

As they walked past it, they were greeted by the smell of sweet cotton candy and the distant cheer of people on the rides. Children—of all sizes, colors, and races—ran past, their faces painted with excitement, and the air smelled of popcorn and fried food.

This amusement park was a place that didn't restrict any race from entering. It was one of the few places in the dwarven world that was free for all to access.

The park was filled with life, with a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds that made Mira's world feel more colorful than she had ever imagined it to be.

Mira couldn't remember there being a time when she was exposed to so much happiness. From birth till now, what she saw most was looks of pity or scorn.

So, for the first time, her heart raced in anticipation—anticipation of being able to enjoy more of this moment with Alex. Her body involuntarily inched closer to Alex as strange feelings stirred inside her. There was something about Alex—the way he led her with quiet confidence, making her feel like everything was okay—that made her want to follow wherever he went.

Without waiting, they approached the first ride—a massive, spinning teacup attraction. Alex raised an eyebrow, giving Mira a teasing smile. "Care to start with this one?"

Mira stared at the spinning cups, looking hesitant for the first time that day. "Spinning around... like that?" She looked at Alex for reassurance, though her blank face made it hard to tell whether she really needed it.

"Trust me, it's fun. Just don't close your eyes," Alex chuckled, nudging her gently.

'Trust Alex...' Hearing his words, Mira, for a second, paused before a smile—unlike her previous quivering of lips, a real smile—tugged on her lips. It was a small, almost negligible difference, but the air around her had changed. "Okay," she spoke, making Alex smile wider as both of them stepped into one of those teacups.

The ride began the moment a bell rang, and Mira, who felt the cup move, unconsciously used her mana to tighten her grip on the cup, but Alex just smirked as he looked at that.

'Huh?' Mira, unable to feel her mana, trembled as she felt strangely powerless, but as she raised her head, her eyes met Alex's teasing eyes.

"This park is one of the most famous parks; even people as strong as Mother come here to enjoy their time." He chuckled as he saw her gaze quivering, showing how surprised she was by this discovery.

"Do you think they would be able to enjoy if they were allowed to use their mana?" Gripping the side of the cup, Alex added, "I would advise holding the cup tightly—"

Alex's words were cut short as the cup moved with a sudden jerk, almost making Mira slide off her seat which she had prevented due to her reflexes, but it was just the start as the cup started to move faster.

At first, Mira felt a wave of dizziness, and although her face still remained blank, her head was spinning, but soon, it gave way to exhilaration—something entirely new to her. She glanced over at Alex, whose eyes were alight with amusement as he stared at her changing emotions.

She could tell that he was enjoying it, and unlike her, it was clear on his face, but she could also tell that instead of having fun alone, he was looking over her with various emotions that she couldn't understand in his eyes.

"Having fun?" Alex called over the sound of the ride.

Mira, staring silently into his eyes for a while, nodded. "It's... strange," she admitted, gripping the sides of the cup to steady herself.

"Good strange or bad strange?" Alex, however, just got more amused at her reactions. The way she shifted on her seat whenever the speed increased and the way she pursed her lips in order to not let out a yelp—something she did involuntarily.

"It's not... bad," Mira replied after contemplating a bit, making Alex chuckle. "Not bad is better than bad."

Looking at Alex smiling heartily, trying to make her comfortable, and never looking away from her, Mira felt a strange sense of warmness in her heart—something she wanted to feel more.

What she didn't know was that this was just the first ride; there were many left to follow. They had the entire day to enjoy as many rides as they could after all.
