Chapter 10: The Supreme Tyrant Bone

Yang Yi sighed in relief. “At least they can survive inside the system’s storage space. Otherwise, they’d just be another burden for me.” Shaking his head, he withdrew from the system space and resumed looting.

The system notifications continued, rewarding him with more time to grow stronger. Just as he was about to finish searching the corpse, his fingers brushed against something unusual—a protruding hard bone along the young man’s spinal column.

Yang Yi’s eyebrows lifted in curiosity.

Though he had no reason to doubt the system, the question remained about how he was supposed to extract it. He couldn’t exactly pull out a kitchen knife and start dissecting a body in front of everyone. That would immediately paint a target on his back. Taking a deep breath, he turned to Meng Jiangnv. “Close your eyes,” he said firmly. She hesitated for a moment, sensing something was off, but eventually obeyed. What followed was brutal.

The sound of bones breaking echoed through the corridor, sending a chill down the spines of the nearby survivors. Fresh blood splattered, the grotesque scene causing several onlookers to pale. Moments later, Yang Yi lifted a bloodstained piece of bone, holding it up to the dim torchlight. At first glance, it didn’t seem particularly remarkable—just an ordinary fragment of a spine. However, its true nature soon became evident.

……………………………………………………………………………

As the system’s notifications rang out, an intense heat surged through Yang Yi’s back. His spine felt like it was on fire, radiating a strange, unstoppable energy. His muscles tensed, his blood boiled, and for a brief moment, he felt an overwhelming sense of dominance. This wasn’t just an ordinary bone—this was a relic of power.

“A rare martial bone?” Yang Yi muttered to himself, stunned. He knew that one’s natural ability to cultivate was linked to their bones. Those born with superior bone structures had an easier time advancing through the martial ranks.

This corpse must have belonged to a martial prodigy, but he had never reached his true potential due to bad luck and lack of opportunity. Now, that hidden potential belonged to Yang Yi. Not only that, but the system also enhanced it into the legendary Supreme Tyrant Bone.

“Unmatched strength… limitless growth… invincible within my realm…”

Yang Yi could hardly believe it.

His thoughts turned toward another question.

“If a mere martial bone holds such immense power… then what about Qin Shi Huang’s body?”

The true treasure of the First Emperor’s tomb might not be his buried treasures—but his remains themselves.

His thoughts were interrupted by a loud, hostile voice. “Put that bone down!”

Yang Yi looked up to see a group of five or six men surrounding him. The leader was a tall, muscular man, his presence exuding brute strength and experience. His calloused hands, thick with veins and hardened by years of labour, suggested that he wasn’t an ordinary survivor.

Yang Yi narrowed his eyes, lifting the bloodstained bone slightly. “This?” he asked with a smirk. His gaze locked onto the broad-shouldered warrior, but unfortunately, no information appeared above his head.

“Not a historical figure, then.” That was expected. Among the prisoners sealed in the First Emperor’s tomb, very few would have left their mark on history. Meng Jiangnv was likely an exception. Still, this man looked strong.

Yang Yi suspected that the man was a martial artist, but not one who had reached the Dark Jin stage. Even so, he knew better than to be careless. Unlike Yang Yi, this man had experience in real combat.

If Yang Yi wanted to fight, he needed an overwhelming advantage. Without hesitation, he activated the system. “System, extract eleven years of condensed cultivation!”

As the system notifications faded, an invisible force erupted from Yang Yi’s body. A dominant aura radiated from him, pressing down on everything in its path. The leader of the group subtly flinched, sensing the shift in power.

Yang Yi clenched his fists, his newfound strength pulsing through his veins. He now understood—that breaking through to Dark Jin required rare medicinal herbs. Without them, cultivation would become a slow and painful grind. In this underground palace, his only option was to continue relying on condensed cultivation time.

For now, though…

He was ready to fight.
