Strongest Superhuman System

Chapter 524 I Need A Ride

Chapter 524 I Need A Ride

The general quickly got the full picture from Pat's desperation. Even though it seemed like a long shot, it was better to try something than to not try anything at all. Even if they were not able to get the monster to stop, maybe they might be able to get it to just change directions and move towards another city instead.

The general quickly started to put out calls to the various guilds around, and Pat also started to try and calculate the optimal path that the monster would take so that there would be the least number of casualties. But as Pat was doing this, he suddenly got a call from an unknown number. Pat narrowed his eyes in confusion and he almost ignored it, but something told him not to do that.

There were a very limited number of people that knew his number and one of those people was Mark.

Pat picked up immediately, and once he heard the voice on the other side, Pat felt like falling to his knees.

[Pat, it's Mark. I need a ride.]

...

Mark had arrived in the real world in the same place that he left. But since The Red Lotus Hotel had been completely destroyed by the anima invasion, there was only a large pile of rubble where the once-majestic building had been.

When Mark appeared, he looked around and managed to find one of the survivors who was hiding in a broken-down apartment opposite the hotel using his [Achelllies Heel] and put a call out to Pat using the woman's phone.

There were no anima on the street since they had all hurried to go and meet with the Armageddon, and Mark jumped to the top of a building to try and see just how much damage had been done to the city in his absence.

Mark's face remained stoic while he looked out over City A, and anyone who saw him would think that he was not affected by the sheer destruction that he was seeing in front of him. But by the time the helicopter arrived to take him away, Kevin's two legs had been broken.

Now, Mark was walking out from a military base in City A. Pat sent a helicopter for Mark, and Mark first had to land at the military base since he needed to drop Salazar off and they were still trying to think of the best way to handle the Armageddon that showed up in City G. City A was miles away from City G, so it was better for them to use the military helicopter here to get to City G faster.

Mark used the brief moment he had before getting into the military helicopter to change his attire to a new one since his previous one was destroyed in the ALTERWORLD.

[The Artefact [Armor of Ares - S] has been severely damaged and will not be at full capacity until it is repaired.]

[Does the user wish for the system to begin the repair sequence?]

Mark chose yes, and the system brought up another prompt.

[Repair Time: 48 hours]

They came in very late, didn't they? Almost suspiciously late.

Mark's True Sight came on instinctively.

...

Name: Ida Hoffman

Race: Human

Rank: ELITE RANK II

Potential: S

Description: A commander in the German army and one of the major contractors of Geb, the Egyptian god of the earth, who grants her the ability to manipulate and bend gravity around her body to her will.

As a member of the German military, she had to fight her way up the ranks against some of the strongest soldiers in the country, and that has given her a tough and almost impenetrable character that sometimes makes her seem too overbearing.

Affiliation: Chaotic Good.

...

She's strong.

Mark was surprised by how strong the woman was, especially with how low her potential was. Getting to ELITE Rank II with only an S rank potential was undeniably impressive. That just meant she had one hell of a work ethic and trained like her life depended on it.

Mark glanced at her shoulder again and saw that there were four diamonds on it denoting her rank.

What rank was that? Was it a captain? I know it's not a corporal or a general. Well, regardless of her rank, I know she's the highest-ranked soldier here.

Mark wondered how strong the German forces really were.
