Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Escape Plan

"The Mutant!"

Mr. Fantastic immediately recognized the man standing in the void—it was the very man who had been causing him so much trouble lately.

In the past, Mr. Fantastic had always been a confident man. His incredible intelligence had never met a problem he couldn't solve with his wits! Especially after being exposed to cosmic radiation that altered the state of his cells and further enhanced his intellect, he became even more convinced of his brilliance, albeit with a calm demeanor.

He believed he was the smartest being in the world! From the past to the present, this belief remained unshaken—until he encountered the White-Haired Mutant!

Initially, S.H.I.E.L.D. sought his help to create a weapon against the White-Haired Mutant. He analyzed the Mutant's abilities and quickly developed a weapon.

Mr. Fantastic believed his spatial disruption device would easily distort the space around the White-Haired Mutant, interfering with his nearly invincible defense!

However, after Ikaris battled the White-Haired Mutant, Mr. Fantastic's spatial disruption device was rendered ineffective, unable to cause any harm.

Later, he created a matter-dissolving lightsaber, thinking that, wielded by a speedster, it would easily defeat the White-Haired Mutant. But he didn't anticipate that the Mutant's reflexes could match the speedster's, allowing him to kill the speedster effortlessly! At this point, he realized the Mutant's strength was growing at an alarming rate, much like his own, seemingly without limit!

To counter the Mutant's ever-increasing power, they developed the Red Hulk Serum. The serum-enhanced Eternals, with the help of the mutant suppression device and the spatial disruption device, were expected to defeat the White-Haired Mutant. But again, they failed!

The White-Haired Mutant's growth rate was far beyond Mr. Fantastic's expectations—this was the first time he felt so ignorant!

Colonel Stryker, standing nearby, saw Mr. Fantastic frozen in thought and nervously asked, "Dr. Reed, what should we do now? Should we run?"

"No." Mr. Fantastic shook his head, then turned to the three people behind him and said seriously, "First, we must release the Red Hulk to buy us some time, then use my parallel-world warp device to travel to another parallel universe. Otherwise, that mutant will catch up and kill us very soon."

Ivan Vanko hesitated: "But neither the Red Hulk we've created nor the parallel-world warp device has been tested. There's a high chance of malfunction, and any fault in either device could be fatal for us!"

"No!" argued the Leader, whose intelligence had increased a hundredfold after his mutation from gamma radiation exposure, making his brain as powerful as a supercomputer.

Based on the White-Haired Mutant's displayed strength and the base's defenses, he calculated precisely that escaping from the Mutant without obstruction was impossible. So, they had to take a chance—hoping that both the Red Hulk and the parallel-world warp device would function flawlessly so they could escape!

Thus, the Leader and Mr. Fantastic began organizing the papers on the table. "I agree with Dr. Reed's plan. We only have a chance to escape using the parallel-world warp device if the Red Hulk can hold off the White-Haired Mutant!"

"And given the combat power the Red Hulk has shown so far, there is even a chance he might seriously injure the White-Haired Mutant. With other means, there is a possibility we could kill him."

Now, Alex appeared to them as nothing short of a god!

At the very center of the crater, not everything was obliterated—a single room remained. A protective shield emitting spatial waves had blocked Alex's attack, preserving the room!

Yet, even though this protective shield was the combined effort of Mr. Fantastic, the Leader, and Ivan Vanko, and though it hadn't taken the brunt of the red-white singularity, it was still severely damaged.

Inside the room, Mr. Fantastic stared in shock at the dozens of extinguished Arc Reactors, exclaiming in disbelief:

"What kind of power is this? It's already on par with a small supernova explosion!

We must hurry— even the Red Hulk can't hold him off for long!"

Apart from the room, which had been meticulously reinforced by Mr. Fantastic and the others, one other being survived: a Red Hulk.

Hit directly by the red-white singularity, his skin had shattered, and a large portion of his body had disappeared under the intense repulsive force, but he was still alive, and his skin was regenerating visibly!

This red figure stood over five meters tall, his body covered in glowing Arc Reactors, continuously supplying him with energy. In Alex's perception, these Arc Reactors had fully integrated with the giant, fusing with his regenerative factors, and could regenerate as well!

He was the ultimate weapon created by the combined genius of Mr. Fantastic and his team:

The Ultimate Red Hulk!

Faced with such a formidable foe, Alex's grin grew even more defiant:

"Interesting!"
