xander entered the room where his friends were and saw them all looking at something, their backs were turned to the door.
he sneakily walked close to them and saw that they had hesitant expressions on their faces.
he looked forward to see a vr gaming helmet hung on the wall. it was silver in colour and shined brightly. the stylish glowing lines on it made it look like a beautiful creation.
xander looked at the others and saw that they all had scared expressions on their faces, instead of the marveled one he imagined.
"so it really affected you guys huh?"

they all shouted as they were spooked by xander. they didn't say anything else and turned to the helmet again.
xander had a frown on his face as he looked at the helmet. this thing was what was taking people to another world.
he suddenly felt a hand go around his back along with the contact of a soft body on his arm. he raised his arm and looked to his side and then he saw sandra slip her second hand in front of his chest, hugging him from his side.
xander didn't complain and just held her shoulder. he also liked this for some reason.
'could it be that... she likes me?'
for some reason his felt felt his body go weaker at that thought.
'no. don't jump to conclusions. wait... that's right she's scared. that's why she needs a hug.' xander thought but for some reason he hoped that it was the former reason...
harry and hannah were just looking at the two love birds. harry couldn't help but smile bitterly as he saw how xander held someone they thought they would never be friends with.

"did the game really affect you guys that much?" xander asked as he didn't feel anything when looking at the helmet.

xander didn't say anything else and just kept on staring at the helmet. after a while he finally spoke up.

xander turned to his dad to see the man with a worried expression.
focused on his task xander spoke:
"dad. i have a request."
hearing his son ciel snapped his fingers and the tv switched off automatically. his son had a request.

seeing his dad with a smile xander began talking.
"i want to help look for the ghoulshippers. i can't stay here and do nothing while they hold my mother captive."
hearing what xander said ciel sighed an walked towards his desk while saying one word, "ok."
at first xander was confused but his dad sat on his office chair and then he said, "i know that even if i say no you will still go so why not? i know that you want your friends to join as well."
'how did he...?' xander felt like he was looking at a mind reader.
"don't worry. i'll arrange for some experienced apostles to go with you guys. for now, enjoy your stay here." ciel said with a smile.
"thank you." xander said. even if his voice was low it was filled with determination and anger towards the ghoulshippers.
after xander left ciel picked up his phone and dialed a number. soon, the receiver picked up and a feminine voice came from the other end.
"hello sir."
"how's it going?"
"not well, i haven't seen any clues on their location. only strange attacks from returnees like gangbanging."
"i need you back tomorrow."
"ahhnn~ is it because i asked to work alone."
"yes. and also because i have a more important job for you."
