Chapter 44 Powerful girl & soul artifact

"Just a little more. The dragon form of the armour should increase my defence by a considerable margin." Xander sighed.

"Coupled with the skill super body I'll be able to face the manticore. Even if I fail to defeat it I'll retreat and try again later." Xander said as he went hunting again.

"Now I know why insect type monsters dominate the caves. They build nests and multiply at a rapid rate so it will be hard for lone creatures to survive." Xander concluded as he bit on the crunchy meat of a scavenger grant.

"The Grants territory is nearby. I should be able to wipe them all out with my skills." Xander said as he continued eating.

After he was done he picked up his spear and stretched. He put the spear at his back and the armout changed form at his back and held the spear in place.

He walked towards the territory of the Grants while yawning occasionally.

"It's been so long since I last slept. All the stress is weighing down on me now." Xander said as he walked towards one of the three pathways in front of him.

He then saw light coming from the other end of the cave and it looked just as bright as his night vision brightness but he could tell the difference.

Xander furrowed his brows as he heard the sounds of hundreds of grants screeching.

He slowly peeped into the wide open space and there he saw a girl in a blue coat with a metal staff that had a red gem at the tip.

The girl waved the staff and blue balls which had sparks floated towards the incoming Grants which were just enlarged ants with more dangerous limbs.

The girl had long black hair, her green eyes made her face look extremely beautiful. As she waved her hand she looked like fairy queen who was punishing her subordinates.

As the sparking ball touched an ant an explosion took place and lightning erupted from the ball, striking everything around a particular area.

"She's strong." Xander mumbled with wide eyes.

The other balls of lightning exploded and eliminated all the Grants and she knelt down and used her staff to support her while breathing loudly.

Xander then heard a loud screeching sound and a giant Grant came out of the cave which was close to the ceiling and crawled down from the tunnel which was very high above the ground and it ran towards the girl.

"Shit. She's going to die." Xander jumped out of his hiding place, towards the grant directly while spinning his spear.

At the end he upgraded demons call to level 2. Even if it was extremely costly to use Xander figured out that the cost might reduce and the duration might increase.

He tapped the soul artifact notification and a red flame appeared in front of him. The flame soon took another shape and extended until...

"What?" Xander held the red scythe in front of him so dearly. It had an intricate design and the blade of the scythe was very curved and pretty.

Xander backed away a hundred metres as he began to spin the scythe in a skillful manner.

He stopped after a while as he furrowed his brows.

"It doesn't feel right." Xander said as he brought up the description of the Scythe.

[Soul Weapon Name: Primordial ripper]

[Soul Weapon type: Mind Scythe]

[Soul weapon description: A soul artifact of the Primordial necromancer arcana. It is controlled by the mind and can be stored in your soul.

The enemy wouldn't even know where the weapon would come from.]

"Ah.. so it's like telekinesis." Xander said in realization.

He furrowed his brows as he looked at the scythe sharply. After three seconds the scythe didn't move and as Xander sighed, the scythe was wrapped in a transparent layer of red energy.

"Primordial energy." Xander said as it is the energy that only a Primordial necromancer can control.

The scythe moved around like a plane back and forth before Xander finally got used to it. He had other plans for it now that he knew that he could control it around.

"Now that I've gotten used to it. I can use it to train myself." Xander said as he looked at the sleeping girl that was far away.

"I can't bring out my demons unless she would be pretty spooked." He brandished his spear as he controlled the scythe to spin.

Jusy then he heard a soft groaning sound from where he left his dragon scale.

The girl was waking up!
