Latina looked incredibly confused after hearing about the outside world, but she eventually came to terms with it. It seemed that coming from a world where humans and monsters fought until one side was annihilated contributed to her confusion.
The only challenging part was coming up with a suitable answer when she asked what the original Earth was like. It wasn't a question that could be easily defined.
"Now it's your turn, Mira," Latina said confidently as soon as my explanation ended, demanding an account of my own experiences. The others, as if they had been waiting for this, moved as one to take me to the top floor of the Eternal Guild's headquarters.
It was a large room with several huge beds, easily big enough for ten people each. There was even an elevator in the room that connected to my room on another floor.
They had probably clung to the hope of my return all this time, so I couldn’t blame them. I’d have to put up with it, both physically and mentally.
"By the way, weren’t you busy with a mission? Something about gate subjugation. You can tell me the rest later when everyone has some free time. I'll wait here."
"We canceled the mission."
