As the War Boar Herd was minding their own business, a few asleep at the streamside, one of their leaders noticed there were some brushes of sound from the bushes not far from them. It stood up from its resting stance and attempted to have a good sniff of it without straying too far from the Herd.

It did not know that such a distraction was the start of its demise as the War Boar Leader finally moved into range of No.2's mind control technique. But before the mind control was activated, No.7 also assisted with a weakly powered sleep spell in order to get the War Boar to lower its guard and give more chance for No.2 for his mind control technique to work.

After all, they hardly used this kind of despicable attack in order to gain superiority over their enemies but there was not much choice for their situation at this current moment.

Initially, the War Boar Leader attempted to fight against the sleep spell and because of that, No.2 spell was able to penetrate through its mental defences, enabling it to take control of the War Boar Leader. Soon, the supposed second leader of the War Boar Herd woke up seeing that its partner was not at its usual spot.

And with a quick sniff, the second War Boar Leader woke up to see that its leader was right at the bushels.

Simple creatures as they were, what went through the second War Boar Leader's mind was that its leader was merely there for a quick snack since it was on duty for guarding the War Boar Herd through the night. So, it did not take much notice and returned to sleep.

Thus, when the current leader was returning back to its original position, the second leader did not take note of the possibility that an intruder was hinging herself at the side of the war boar leader. Perhaps, both No.2 and No.7 had their scent being infused by the fruit bushes where they smeared squeezed juice of the fruits that were within the bushes.

Those War Boars were capable of sleeping and detecting the danger around them which gave them the ability to spring into action immediately and thus because of this, the argument between the leaders and their veterans seemed to heat up.

"I did not expect such a herd to have these many interactions." No.7 telepathically told No.2.

"I think they must have been on the move for a long time, otherwise they would not have made such a fuss." No.2 replied and No. 7 believed in his conjecture. "But for them to complain this much is still rather unusual for a herd."

"Let's just focus on believing that our mind control breathens were able to get the message across and move out of this place or else we need to switch to a more aggressive stance," No.2 replied but it seems Lady Luck might happen to be watching the situation as well. Or maybe should they call it Gentlemen Unlucky?

As the hunters feared, suddenly a shadowy figure emerged and struck from the flank of their herd when the veterans were arguing with their leaders. A shadow panther from the looks of it and it seemed as if there were not just one but multiple of such shadows coming out at this opportune time.

Perhaps, their bickering among themselves had proven to be too much of an attraction for them and that argument could have stemmed from the possible reason that these War Boars were being hunted consistently, so having a longer period of sleep for the herd had been essential.

But right now, the Commando Mages could either see the Shadow Panther bring down their herd or go in to assist them.
