After the succubus became a fake young master that everyone disliked - Chapter 14

Chi Jing glanced at himself in the mirror, noting the horns on his head.

He lowered his head and replied.

[Chi Jing: I can’t act, and I might not have the time.]

[Mu Jingshan: Director Xu said you can act, but he’s a bit eccentric and never shows anyone the script. Why don’t you give it a try?]

Chi Jing, with a wooden expression, reminded him again.

[Chi Jing: I might not have time.]

[Mu Jingshan: What are you doing that makes you so busy? Don’t worry, I told Director Xu you’re filming a variety show. He said he could work around your variety show schedule. Besides, the role doesn’t have many scenes and won’t take up too much of your time.]

Chi Jing wasn’t sure when his horns would disappear or if they might grow bat wings or a tail.

He leaned against the wall, feeling a bit of a headache.

[Chi Jing: I need to go into seclusion for cultivation.]

[Mu Jingshan: ???]

As soon as he sent that message, there were two knocks on the guest room door.

Then, An Boqing’s grumbling voice came through: “It sounds like someone’s inside. Could it be Mr. Jiang?”

After grumbling, An Boqing was about to return to the living room and continue waiting, but the guest room door suddenly opened.

Chi Jing appeared in his line of sight, wearing a black fisherman’s hat with the brim slightly curled up, revealing his delicate face.

Seeing his still damp face, An Boqing hesitated but ultimately said nothing and stepped aside to make it easier for him to leave.

Chi Jing, uninterested in engaging with the person who had caused him trouble at the dinner table, went straight back to his room.

As he entered, Jiang Yucheng seemed to be taking out a piece of clothing from his suitcase.

Chi Jing didn’t stop, walking straight in and closing the door behind him.

He didn’t seem to be giving Jiang Yucheng any space.

Exhausted, he collapsed onto the bed and began contemplating how to deal with his still-present childish horns.

In his daze, his peripheral vision caught sight of Jiang Yucheng, who seemed to be preparing to change clothes, drawing his attention.

He watched him without hiding his gaze. Jiang Yucheng looked back at him a few times, somewhat helpless.

But he said nothing and casually tossed another piece of clothing into the corner, covering a black camera.

Chi Jing followed his gaze to the camera in the corner, hesitated for a moment, and asked, “Is it on?”

Jiang Yucheng, having removed his shirt, turned to look at him.

Chi Jing was immediately drawn to his muscles.

His skin was fair even among normal people, but it did not affect the aesthetic of his muscles.

His well-defined abs had no excess fat, and the muscles in his arms bulged when he moved.

He only blinked away from the sight when Jiang Yucheng finished changing clothes.

“Fair enough.”

Chi Jing: “What’s fair enough?”

“I wanted to see you,” Jiang Yucheng said, tossing the discarded clothes into the laundry basket.

It was a veiled reference to the fact that he had been watching him.

Chi Jing understood but was more concerned with another matter.

“The camera in the room is still on?”

“......” Chi Jing looked confused.

Jiang Yucheng responded with an “mm” and, after changing clothes, sat lazily on his bed.

Chi Jing thought back to his earlier attempts to touch his little horns, and how he had suddenly stood up and looked at himself in the mirror, turning to examine his bat wings and tail.

Realizing that these scenes had been recorded by the camera, he fell silent, contemplating the possibility of returning to his original world.

He had suspected that Jiang Yucheng was sharp-witted, and he was right; just by touching the demon horns, he had guessed that he was not human.

“Hmph, foolish human. Haven’t you heard of demons?”

“No, I haven’t,” Jiang Yucheng admitted honestly.

He really hadn’t heard of demons, but the term did fit the little guy.

Chi Jing snuggled under his blanket, his blush gradually fading.

He continued to ponder how to handle Jiang Yucheng but couldn’t come up with a solution.

At that moment, he began to miss his demon father, who always seemed to solve problems easily.

Lost in thought, he was startled awake when he saw Jiang Yucheng preparing to leave the room.

“What are you going to do?”

Jiang Yucheng, seeing the lingering fear on his face, paused with a hint of helplessness: “I’m going to delete the original footage for you.”

Chi Jing’s chest heaved with relief: “Really?”

“Absolutely,” he paused and extended his hand, “Do you want to come with me?”

Chi Jing’s eyes lit up: “Yes!”

Jiang Yucheng went to speak with the director, who, though puzzled, agreed to delete all the unviewed original footage.

After resolving a major issue, Chi Jing collapsed onto the bed and refused to get up.

Jiang Yucheng stood by his bed, amused: “Aren’t you worried I might tell others?”

Chi Jing, already resigned, suspected that he had started to like him.

No one could escape a demon’s allure; perhaps Jiang Yucheng had enough self-control, but it wasn’t likely he would completely resist.

He was confident in his charm.

“You won’t tell,” he looked up from his blanket at him, “Or are you planning to share me with others?”

Jiang Yucheng muttered a curse under his breath.

“Stop talking such nonsense,” he bent down to adjust the blanket, saying coldly, “Go to sleep.”

The room darkened as the lights went off and the rainy weather outside added to the gloom. Chi Jing quickly fell asleep, snuggled in his blanket.

Jiang Yucheng, however, stayed awake.

He lay on his side, watching Chi Jing’s harmless sleeping face, and chuckled softly.

“What an ungrateful little thing.”

Chi Jing sat on the bed, half-awake, still not fully conscious.

Jiang Yucheng came in from the balcony, bringing a chill with him as he approached him.

He placed his hand on his forehead, and in the next moment, Chi Jing felt a freezing chill, waking up with a shiver.

He complained, covering his forehead: “What are you doing?”

“Get up, you still have to film,” Jiang Yucheng said.

“......” Chi Jing hugged his blanket and lay back down, clearly unwilling to get up.

Jiang Yucheng reminded him: “It’s almost four. We have to leave for dinner at four-thirty.”

Chi Jing, now a soulless demon, groaned.

“Maybe I should just return to my original world,” he mumbled, “At least I wouldn’t have to work to make a living.”

Jiang Yucheng, amused, placed his clothes on the bed.

“Get up. If you don’t, I’ll touch your little horns.”

Chi Jing warned him fiercely: “Don’t touch them. If you do, I’ll kill you.”

Jiang Yucheng, though not angry, felt a tinge of regret.

He should have touched the horns more at noon. Next time he wanted to touch his demon horns, it would probably take a long time.

Chi Jing glanced at the camera covered by a black coat and then looked at Jiang Yucheng.

He raised his hand, pointing at the door: “Get out. I need to change clothes.”
