Walking toward them was the school nurse, a plain-looking woman in her forties, wearing rimless glasses. She walked up to the infirmary, glanced meaningfully at the boy and girl sitting outside so early in the morning. Then she silently took out her keys, unlocked the door, and went inside.
Jia Ting asked in confusion, “Why do I feel like she looked at us weirdly?”
“It’s just your imagination,” Qin Luo replied casually. He was about to help Jia Ting into the infirmary when the nurse returned.
She tossed a small box to Qin Luo and said blandly, “58 yuan.”
Qin Luo was stunned. He thought to himself, “She’s a miracle worker! She didn’t even ask about the condition, just glanced at us and immediately knew what medicine to prescribe. She’s wasted in this small infirmary.”
Admiring her, Qin Luo looked down at the box in his hand.
Jia Ting, who had initially admired the nurse as well, noticed that Qin Luo’s face suddenly darkened, and he looked at the box strangely.
“What’s wrong?” Jia Ting asked.
Qin Luo glanced at her, “Do you know what this medicine is?”
Jia Ting read the label, “Levonorgestrel tablets... I’m not sure, but it should be for treating a sprain, right?”
“Highly unlikely for a sprain, but it’s quite effective for internal injuries.”
“Huh?”
“You don’t recognize this name, but what about this one?” Qin Luo turned the box, and revealed the name on the other side.
“Yuting?” Jia Ting paused, then her face turned blank as she realized what it was.
Qin Luo said, “If you still don’t know, let me tell you its other name: ‘Contraceptive Pills.’”

The nurse, finally realizing her mistake, awkwardly laughed and took them into the infirmary.

The nurse glanced at him, “To apply the medicine, of course. You expect the girl to do it herself? Are you a man or not?”
Qin Luo was speechless, “What about you?”
“I’m hungry and have no time to take care of you two. Stay here, I’m going to eat. The medicine and gauze cost 38 yuan, the cotton swabs are free. Scan the QR code on my desk to pay.”
Without giving Qin Luo a chance to respond, the nurse left.
The duo were left staring at each other, the atmosphere becoming awkward.
Jia Ting, whose face was still red, finally said, “Give me the medicine, I can do it myself.”
“Okay.” Qin Luo handed over the bottle without hesitation. They weren’t particularly close, and he didn’t want to seem like he was taking advantage of her. He didn’t think of himself as a creep who’d find pleasure in touching a girl’s foot.
Jia Ting tried to apply the medicine herself, but because she couldn’t move her foot, it was difficult. She accidentally touched her injured ankle, and cried out in pain.
Qin Luo watched for a while, then sighed: “Give it here.”
Jia Ting stubbornly replied, “I can do it.”
“Stop talking nonsense, give it to me.”
Qin Luo gently took the bottle and cotton swab, then carefully applied the medicine. Though he seemed rough, his actions were gentle, treating her injured foot delicately as if handling a fragile flower.
Jia Ting watched him apply the medicine, his handsome face serious, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, his strong profile exuding masculine charm. She found it hard to look away.
He carried her here, and now he was applying medicine.
He looked unexpectedly strong. If he had been this strong when confessing to Ji Yan, perhaps she would have agreed. Most girls would have said yes much earlier. He was quite charming...
